Kingfisher Cottage is a wonderfully family-friendly self-catering cottage in Cornwall. Sleeping five people in two bedrooms and being accessible for guests who use a wheelchair, it is one of six well-appointed holiday homes on Waterloo Farm on the edge of Hellescot village and within easy reach of Launceston and the stunning beaches of North Cornwall. Guests enjoy amenities that include a heated outdoor swimming pool, coarse and fly-fishing, nature walks and a nature hide, a games room, and a location surrounded by 200-acres of picturesque farmland.
Hellescott is a fantastic location whether you love swimming and surfing at the beach, spending lazy days walking or cycling through the countryside, or you appreciate a combination of both plus historic towns, scenic villages, and fun attractions. Launceston is only four miles away, with a big supermarket and array of independent shops. There's a regular market on the second Saturday of the month between March and December. Alternatively, Bude is less than half an hour's drive with a wide choice of shops and a farmers and craft market every Friday between Easter and the end of September. If you hate to shop, order your groceries from Asda, Tesco or Waitrose for delivery after your arrival.
Bude is a famous surfing beach with novices able to hire boards and arrange tuition to improve their skills. Other beaches close to Kingfisher Cottage include sheltered Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay. Boscastle is a charming village looked after by the National Trust. It has a picturesque harbour and great views from the South West Coast Path. Boscastle is just north of Tintagel Castle, cited as the birthplace of King Arthur, and you can combine the two for a full day out. Bodmin Moor is only a few miles away, offering fantastic opportunities for walking and mountain biking as well as attractions like Bodmin Jail and the historic Jamaica Inn pub, infamous for its smuggling past.
Whether you're booking for a relaxing break or a week of non-stop action and fun, Kingfisher Cottage is extremely comfortable and welcoming. Depending on availability, it can be booked with other cottages if you are on holiday with your extended family or friends.

Outside: Kingfisher Cottage has off-street parking and a private garden with a balcony.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi and bed linen are included. Towels are available to rent for a small cost. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on site. Pets are not allowed in Kingfisher Cottage but there are other cottages at Waterloo Farm that are dog-friendly.
