Dating back some four hundred years, Elmar is packed full of character, sleeps four guests, welcomes dogs and offers a cosy retreat just a mile from Cornwall's stunning north coast. Spend your days on the beach, visiting one of the area's many attractions or walking the coastal path; then of an evening enjoy a meal out in one of the village pubs or relax in front of the log burner which sits in the magnificent inglenook fireplace with bread oven. The choices are endless with something for those who want to be active, explore or simply relax!
Enjoying a quiet position in the Cornish village of Cubert, Elmar sits next to the church and is well suited to couples, families and friends. The village offers pubs, a general store which is open 8-7, 7 days a week, an award winning bakery and a Fish and Chip shop, and is ideally placed within walking distance of Crantock beach, Holywell Bay and Polly Joke. Holywell Bay and Crantock Beach are beautiful huge golden bays with caves, dunes and rock pools that the children (and adults!) will love exploring. Polly Joke sits between the two and is a magnificent natural beach ideally placed with National Trust land and a stunning rugged coastline surrounding it. The Smugglers Den is a delightful 16th Century thatched Inn and is only a short walk across a field from the cottage.
Attractions and days out are plentiful with the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and Lands End all top of the list and within easy driving distance. There are also pretty fishing villages and harbour towns to explore along the coast and great days out for the little ones including Dairlyland Farmworld for some fun down on the farm and The Lappa Valley Steam Railway with its miniature linked railways, boating lake, crazy golf and play areas.
The surf capital of Britain, Newquay, is only five miles away with its world famous facilities but for those who are looking for a quieter more tranquil seaside holiday, Cubert is an ideal choice with its lovely walks to beaches such as Polly Joke which was voted one of the country's top secret beaches.

Elmar is an ancient holiday cottage offering character accommodation for up to four guests. Retaining much character, one of the cottage's loveliest features is the Inglenook fireplace complete with a bread oven dating back to the 16th Century which now houses a wood burning stove.
Additional information: Electricity and oil central heating and hot water is included although heating not often used as the cottage walls are so thick! Fully double glazed. Newly installed wood burning stove for cosy winter holidays.
