Elderberry is a traditional stone barn conversion that has been lovingly restored to provide a comfortable holiday cottage for four guests in two bedrooms. With beautiful sea and countryside views from its lounge and tucked away on a farm, it is the perfect rural retreat for families and friends looking for a self-catering holiday to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The open plan living space is perfect for easy holiday living, whilst kids and adults alike will love the cosy bedrooms and exciting whirlpool bath.
The picturesque village of Boscastle, which has a pretty harbour and a number of shops, cafes and restaurants, is just a mile away. Stroll down the hill via quiet county lanes, or jump in your car, to explore this pretty fishing port. Enjoy an ice cream as you meander around the harbour or take a boat trip out to sea. If you would prefer to keep your feet firmly on the ground there are some stunning walks to explore along the South West Coastal Path. Head south towards Tintagel Castle which is perched high up on the cliffs above the sea, or embrace the challenging hike to Crackington Haven where you can enjoy a well-deserved crab sandwich and paddle in the sea. Boscastle has been described by the Visit Cornwall tourist board as 'the best walking holiday destination in Cornwall'.
If beaches are your thing, you certainly won’t be disappointed. With the choice of long sandy bays, secluded cloves and pretty fishing villages backed with white-washed cottages, there is plenty to keep you entertained. Learn to surf, try your hand at sailing or enjoy a game of beach volley ball. If all this sounds too energetic, there are plenty of spots where you can simply dig your toes into the warm sand and listen to the waves gently lapping on the beach.
If you would prefer to explore the area on two wheels, the twelve miles of off-road cycling along the disused railway along the Camel Trail is perfect for both big and little cycling legs. Pack a picnic and enjoy the scenery as you cycle through woods, rugged moorland and along the Camel Estuary. Any food lovers should visit the coastal town of Padstow. With a choice of fish and chips on the harbourside, a traditional Cornish cream tea or fine seafood dining, everyone’s taste and budget will be accounted for!
If, after a hard day of holidaying, a walk to a local pub is your thing, then the popular Napoleon Inn is less than a kilometre down the hill from Polrunny Farm. Take your torches though because the quiet country lane isn’t lit at night.
There are three other holiday cottages available to rent on Polrunny Farm which are perfect if you want to invite friends and family to join you too. Sleeping twelve in total, Sloe and Seaberry sleep two and Blackberry also sleeps four.

Situated all on one level this old stone barn conversion sits on a farm surrounded by coastal and countryside views. Whilst the cottage is all on one level, it is accessed via a step at the front door.

Make the most of Polrunny Farm's gardens. Why not take your breakfast in the breakfast garden with its spectacular rural and sea views; enjoy a morning coffee whilst reading the paper in our sheltered courtyard garden; and watch the sun set whilst BBQ-ing your dinner in our farm garden.
Additional information: The price includes bed linen, towels, central heating, hot water and WiFi. The owner's provide a welcome pack with freshly baked goodies and delicious local Cornish produce. Children and baby related equipment can also be provided. Please request at the time of booking.
