Buzzard Watch is a lovely cottage in a peaceful location in mid-Cornwall, surrounded by countryside yet within easy reach of beaches on both the north and the south coast. There is space for up to four people to sleep in two ensuite bedrooms to make the cottage ideal for couples, families and friends, including guests with limited mobility or who use a wheelchair. It is one of two fully wheelchair accessible cottages on the family-run Treworgans Farm, set in 82 acres of private farmland in between the villages of Ladock and Probus.
Probus and Ladock are both within two miles of the farm and cottages, each with a village pub and village shop supplying the essentials for a self-catering holiday. There are supermarkets and a wide choice of amenities a 15-minute drive from the cottage in the charming city of Truro. Spend a few hours here browsing the town's shops, stopping for a proper Cornish cream tea at a cafe and admiring the beauty of the cathedral. Truro has an excellent array of places to eat and drink as well as tennis courts, a cinema, parks and gardens.
There is a wide choice of activities and attractions to enjoy during your stay, regardless of the season, including miles of footpaths. Some routes, like the Camel Trail and parts of the South West Coast Footpath, are wheelchair accessible, and the owners thoughtfully provide maps and information about the local area in the cottage to help visitors plan their route. Alternatively, get on your bike and ride some of the excellent trails in the area, including around the Roseland Peninsula, through Clay Country and along a route highlighting Cornwall's mining heritage. Bike hire is available from local businesses, including one that delivers to the door.
Treworgans Farm cottages are only 12 miles from Newquay and other beaches on the north coast, and only slightly further from Mevagissey, Porthpean and other areas on the southern coast, making it easy to enjoy the beautiful beaches for which Cornwall is famous. Attractions and destinations for a day out can include the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Pendennis Castle, and Lanhydrock House, and other National Trust properties.
Buzzard Watch can be booked on its own to sleep up to four people, or together with the other cottage on-site to sleep groups of up to ten friends or extended family members. Please see the owner's website for more information.
