Badgers Holiday Cottages offer you the opportunity to stay in one of three beautiful 4 Star Gold Award, traditional English holiday cottages in a stunning part of South East Cornwall.
Whether you are seeking historical sightseeing, watersports or want to enjoy the lovely countryside, Badgers Sett Holiday Cottages provide the perfect retreat for a holiday. Being centrally located, Badgers Sett has easy access to the south and north coasts, major attractions and many of the favourite coastal villages.
Surrounded by some of the most attractive countryside in the county which is scattered with an array of interesting historical sites and places of interest (including nearby King Donierts Stone, Trethevy Quoit and a number of medieval settlements), you certainly wont be short of things to do!
The holiday cottages have been converted from barns dating back to 1640 and each one has been converted to a very high standard with all the modern conveniences you would expect from a 4 Star Gold Award cottage. Along with the owners house, the cottages nestle on a south facing hillside and are set within two acres of grounds. They are ten miles away from the popular coastal town of Looe, conveniently located on the edge of Bodmin Moor, making them perfectly placed for exploring both the dramatic north coast and picturesque south coast, along with the many attractions of the area including country houses and gardens and the world famous Eden Project.
Surrounded by varied and beautiful walking countryside, there are plenty of opportunities to explore this beautiful area by foot including the ‘Two Valleys Walk’ which can be accessed opposite the cottages and allows you to explore parts of the Fowey Estuary, farmland, open moorland and forest. Golitha Falls walk is also just one mile away and there are lots of other great coastal and countryside walks within easy distance where you can take in the local wildlife.
Practically all types of water-sports are available in the area. Sailing, kayaking and windsurfing can be enjoyed at Sibleyback lake (two miles away) and Colliford Lake (five miles away) and the south and Atlantic coastlines are twenty five to fifty minutes by car.
For those who enjoy golf, there are more than eight courses within twenty miles of the cottages including St. Mellion which was designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Locally there are historic buildings and beautiful gardens to visit including Lanhydrock House (National Trust) - a beautiful manor house (ten miles away), The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the world famous Eden Project (thirty five minutes away by car).
