It's perfect for couples, families with older children, or friends who want to combine a walking holiday with days at the beach and easy access to favourite Snowdonia sights and attractions. The cottage sleeps five people in two bedrooms, with spacious gardens. As the name of the house implies, the night skies are a sight to behold. It is in the quiet village of Llysfaen, a few miles from Colwyn Bay and Mynydd Marian and within walking distance of the village shop and the popular Semaphore Lodge pub and restaurant.
Llysfaen is a superb base from which to enjoy the many sights and attractions of Snowdonia and the North Wales coast. The cottage is very popular with walkers who love tackling not only Snowdon and the Welsh Coast Path but also places like the Mynydd Marian Nature Reserve, just a three minute walk from your door with far-reaching views from the top. The village shop stocks the basics like fresh milk and bread, and it's only a short drive to Colwyn Bay for a choice of supermarkets, cafes, pubs and other amenities. Once you've had your breakfast, pack your lilo and your suncream and head for the picturesque beaches of Colwyn Bay. There is plenty of variety along this stretch of coast, with other nearby beaches including Rhos-on-Sea, Conwy Morfa, and Penrhyn Bay. The seaside resort of Llandudno is only 20 minutes from Sunsets and Stars, with a traditional pier and seaside amusements.
Local attractions include the Welsh Mountain Zoo, the spectacular fortresses of Conwy and Caernarfon Castles, the Snowdon Mountain Railway, and Zip World Snowdonia. Mountain biking, climbing, caving, golf, fishing, horse riding and sailing are just a handful of many other fun activities you can readily access when you stay at Sunsets and Stars Cottage.
