Two Penny Blue isn't simply a holiday home by the seaside. It's a 5-Star two-bedroom apartment overlooking the beach, with uninterrupted views over Ceredigion Bay and towards Snowdonia. The first-floor apartment is one of three superb properties in The Old Post Office, mere steps from shops, cafes, restaurants and the waterfront Ship Inn pub. Two Penny Blue sleeps four people in two bedrooms. The layout makes it ideal for families, friends, or couples who want that extra bedroom space.
Imagine waking up in the morning, stepping out on a huge waterfront balcony and looking over to see what the surf is like. There is no messing around with weather apps or surf webcams because the answer is right in front of you as you sip your coffee with excited anticipation of how much fun you're going to have that day. While those in holiday cottages away from the coast are loading up the car with care to make sure they haven't forgotten anything, you'll be strolling onto the sand, confident that you can simply pop home to pick up that spare beach towel or extra bucket and spade, returning in mere minutes. Aberporth has two beaches but, If you feel like a change of scene, then you only have to walk along the Ceredigion Coast Path to get to Tresaith or Traeth y Cribach. Keep walking, and you'll reach Mwnt, Penbryn and Llangrannog.
You don't have to leave Aberporth to have a fantastic holiday. Everything you need for a self-catering stay is within strolling distance of the apartment. However, it's a gorgeous area and exploring further afield is highly recommended! Spend a relaxing few hours browsing the independent shops and having lunch in Cardigan. Take your binoculars to the Welsh Wildlife Centre, a nature reserve next to the River Teifi and home to a wide variety of birds and wildlife. New Quay is another lovely town with a pretty harbour where you can sit with fish and chips or ice cream and watch the boats go in and out. New Quay is also a good place to arrange a boat tour of the bay.
Local attractions include the Marine Wildlife Centre and Reptile World in New Quay, Oakwood Theme Park, The Honey Farm, the Devil's Bridge Falls, and the walking and mountain bike trails Bwlch Nant Yr Arian. Aberporth is definitely not a one-season-wonder holiday destination. It delivers beautiful views, great amenities, exciting attractions, coastal walks, and seaside fun all year round.
