Winllan Farm Holidays offer a choice of dog-friendly self-catering accommodation nestling amongst glorious countryside close to the stunning coastline of Cardigan Bay in South Wales. With panoramic views on the doorstep and a wealth of attractions within easy reach, Winllan Farm offers all the right ingredients for a relaxing and memorable holiday.
The view always impresses guests when they arrive, and Plucking Barn (featured in this advert) is cleverly designed with 'upside down' accommodation allowing guests to make the most of the stunning scenery. Whether you're relaxing on the sofa with the patio doors open letting the outside flood in, or sitting out on the balcony enjoying a glass of wine, the scenery and tranquility is magical!
Superb countryside and coastal walks make Winllan Farm an excellent choice for dog owners. Brechfa Forest is close by with miles of tracks and trails for walkers and mountain bikers. Or get those tails wagging on one of the beaches of Cardigan Bay (all but two welcome dogs all year round). Long Wood is a popular walk close to Lampeter, as is the Woodland Walk at the National Trust house of Llanerchaeron where you can walk along the river to the coastal town of Aberaeron for lunch in one of the harbour side pubs.
Aberaeron's harbour is sandwiched between two beaches with sand at low tide for those who want to pack their bucket and spade. It is less than half an hour away by car, as is New Quay with its picturesque harbour and golden sandy beach. Cardigan Bay is peppered with beautiful beaches and seaside towns just a short drive from the farm, so there are no shortage of opportunities for lazy days by the sea.
Close to home (just ten minutes) is the bustling town of Lampeter with a good choice of shops and pubs. Newcastle Emlyn is a little further (half an hour) and for inclement days, head to the Dolaucothi Gold Mines close to Pumsaint for an underground adventure, or take a nostalgic trip on the Teifi Valley Steam Railway. The Red Kite feeding centre is also a must to visit, especially for walkers and mountain bikers with excellent trails.
