Murmur Aeron enjoys a peaceful spot on the edge of Llangeitho village, within walking distance of the Three Horseshoe Inn, village shop and café. It is a large house with room for up to six people in four bedrooms, so is ideal for families and groups of friends on holiday together.
It is hard to find a better location if you love being outdoors as there are a wealth of walking and cycling trails nearby giving you a choice days out by the beach or in the countryside. With the Cambrian Mountains and Teifi Valley nearby, not to mention the Tregaron trail, Ystwyth cycling trail, Aeron Valley Trail, Ceredigion Coastal footpath and mountain bike centres near Bwlch Nant Yr Arian, Brecfa, Machynlleth and Dolgellau, you can head off in a different direction every morning.
As well as being surrounded by stunning countryside, Murmur Aeron is just a short drive away from Cardigan Bay and some fantastic beaches. Dolphins are regularly spotted from the beach and headland at New Quay and Mwnt, as well as around Aberystwyth Harbour. Llangrannog beach is always popular yet never feels crowded thanks to its size, or maybe you would prefer the small smuggler's cove at Cwmtydu. Other beaches to add to your "days out" itinerary include Tresaith, Aberporth, Ceibwr Bay and Poppit Sands.
While it can hardly be classed as cosmopolitan, this part of Wales is not without urban charm. Aberystwyth is a lively university town with a fantastic array of places to eat, drink and shop. It also has a fun funicular railway, good museums (including The National Library of Wales) and a Victorian pier and promenade with traditional seaside entertainments. Smaller than Aberystwyth, Lampeter is another university town with a variety of shops, pubs and cafes. Stroll along the Lampeter Town Trail to find out more about the town's history.
Murmur Aeron's name comes from the Aeron Valley and the Aeron River which flows through the village. Nearby attractions include Llanerchaeron, managed by the National Trust, Strata Florida Abbey, and the Vale of Rheidol Railway. With a golf course and equestrian centre also close to the house, you can be as active as you please.
