Morawel Cottage is in the perfect spot for enjoying the beauty of the Cardigan coast and countryside. The pretty self-catering cottage, whose name means "sea breeze" in Welsh, is off the road down a drive in the coastal village of Blaenannerch with beautiful views over farmland. With lots of fantastic modern conveniences, the fresh white exterior and classic decor give the cottage a timeless appeal that helps it sit gently into the surrounding landscape as if it's always belonged. The cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms and has two bathrooms, so it is well suited for families or a small group of friends.
Blaenannerch is a peaceful village directly accessible to the A487 in between Fishguard and Aberystwyth. It's only two miles from the cottage to the stunning sandy shores of Aberporth and not much further from Tresaith's beach and waterfall. Poppit Sands is also within easy reach, as are Penbryn Beach, Traeth Bach, Mwnt and Llangrannog. This stretch of coastline is some of the most scenic in the UK and never feels crowded, even at the height of summer. If you're fed up with getting hot and bothered trying to find a parking space or sick of people kicking sand over your towel as they walk along an overcrowded beach, you'll love the beaches of Cardigan Bay.
The market town of Cardigan is barely five miles from the cottage. Here, you'll find a big supermarket and a good choice of independent shops and places to eat. If you're celebrating a special occasion or want to treat yourself to a fancy meal, book a table in the 1176 restaurant in the beautifully restored Cardigan Castle, which hosts various concerts and performances during summer. If you don't want to dine out but still want to taste the delicious local food the restaurant serves, the 1176 deli has what you need.
Activities and attractions include spotting dolphins in the bay as you walk along the Ceredigion Coast Path, birdwatching at the Welsh Wildlife Centre, and visiting historic buildings including National Trust Cilgerran Castle, St Dogmael's Abbey, and Castell Henllys Iron Age Village. If you want to hire a bike to explore further, you can do so in Cardigan and Aberaeron.
Morawel Cottage is available all year round for you, your family and friends to enjoy a relaxing holiday in a stunning location.
