About Chapel Apartments

Chapel Apartments Wales can accommodate large parties of up to eighteen guests and sits in an enviable position with beautiful panoramic views over Carmarthen Bay. Specialising in weekend breaks and longer holidays, this is an ideal venue if you are planning a reunion of friends or family, or want to celebrate a special occasion.

Located midway between the Gower Peninsula and Tenby, Chapel Apartments sits on the outskirts of Llansaint, an idyllic village offering two traditional pubs (both serving great food and ales). Perched on a hillside, the village is in a superb elevated position to enjoy the stunning views over Carmarthen Bay.

The building was formerly a 17th Century stone chapel and has now been sympathetically converted into three spacious holiday apartments which still retain lots of character and charm with oak beams and an impressive seven foot stained glass window which allows a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours to flood into the chapel. Deceptively large, each of the apartments has room for a ‘full house’ of eighteen guests to congregate or be seated and the Jolly Roger apartment on the first floor has an extra large dining table seating eighteen so is ideal for group dining.

Being three apartments, there are three kitchens, each well equipped with plenty of space for catering for the whole group (and allowing everyone to muck in!). There is one entrance into the building and then a flight of stairs provides access into each of the three independent apartments (a great set up for groups with a good degree of personal space). Each apartment sleeps six guests (plus a cot) and has a king-size bedroom and one twin bedroom, plus two single beds in the living area (all apartments are spacious, beds are full-size and no bunk beds or sofa beds so you are sure to have a comfortable nights sleep!). Admirals Rest on the ground floor provides single level accommodation for those with limited mobility.

Conveniently located just fourteen miles from the M4 (jcn 48), Chapel Apartments is ideal for a quick weekend away. The area offers plenty of attractions and is great for walkers with the "Wales Coastal Path" running from Llansaint village and providing access through the forest and beyond to Ferryside, taking in flower meadows, streams and ancient steps walked by many that are cut into the hillside (the views over the Pembrokeshire coastline are superb).

Popular with artists and photographers, the area oozes natural beauty and offers a vast playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Explore the Millennium Coastal Path (5 miles away and great for cyclists with thirteen miles of tarmac) or the Celtic Trail (1/2 a mile); go horse riding in Pembrey Forest or skiing on the dry slop (15 minutes); enjoy a day on the beach at Carmarthen Bay Beach (1.5 mile walk), Ferryside Beach (2.5 miles), Pembrey Blue Flag Beach (5 miles) or Pendine Sands (25 minutes drive); go bird watching at Kidwelly Quay; travel by locomotion on the Gwili Steam Railway (11 miles) or explore the riverside county town of Carmarthen (Just 8 miles away) with its shops, bars and places to eat. Carmarthen is also host to the National Botanic Garden of Wales. These are just a few of the many attractions within easy reach of Chapel Apartments and for those happy to venture further afield, the Brecon Beacons is a forty minute drive away.

The property is split into three individual apartments, each sleeping up to six guests.

Each apartment comprises:

  • Well equipped kitchen with: built in washing machine, fridge and freezer; standard size oven (under worktop), halogen 4 ring hob, microwave, four slice toaster, kettle and plenty of pots, pans, crockery, glassware and china.
  • Master bedroom with king-size bed, double wardrobe, chest with six drawers, dressing table with two drawers and stool, hairdryer and bedside cabinets.
  • One twin bedroom with two three foot single beds, large wardrobe, chest with five drawers, bedside cabinet and dresser mirror. There are an additional two single beds in the open plan living area.
  • Bathroom with WC, wash basin, large shower cubicle (90x90cm), small bath (ideal for young children) and shaver point.

Access: A ramp provides access to the entrance lobby. Admirals Rest Apartment is on the ground floor and there are no steps to gain access, only stairs leading up to the other two apartments. Apartments are not wheelchair friendly.

Additional information: Prices include bedding, linen, towels, electricity, hot water, heating, WiFi and tea towels. If any guests are taller than 6''5, please speak to the owner as some areas may cause problems. No pets or smoking. No items that smoke or burn (e.g. candles). All apartments have intercoms and secure locked doors. Wi-Fi internet access. There is free to use telephone in each apartment that allows you to phone out to pre-programmed emergency numbers and takeaway outlets in Kidwelly. A comprehensive range of maps and information is available to help you plan your stay. The apartments have received 4 Star Ratings but this only applies when the additional beds in the living areas are not in use (i.e. for parties of twelve, four in each apartment).
