Blaencwm is an attractive stone farmhouse sleeping up to six guests in three bedrooms. Offering a taste of country life with dogs if you wish, Blaencwm has a family feel – it is not just a letting property - but also used at times by the owner who lives in the adjoining garden house. Nestling amongst 64 acres of land - 49 acres of farmland and 15 acres of recently replanted woodland, it offers peace and tranquillity in abundance. A place where guests can escape away from it all with not another house in sight for miles, enjoying everything the property and surrounding land has to offer, giving children freedom to explore and adventure forth or relax inside with a roaring log burner and play indoor games like table tennis, darts and Monopoly. The Wifi and 4G is good enough to try rural WFH (the owner finds it a lovely peaceful place to WFH!).
Blaencwm, which means Head of the Valley, is approached by its own farm lane and this welcoming retreat affords uninterrupted views that span for some 15 miles over the River Towy below. The setting is simply stunning with no light pollution to affect the dark starry skies and only the sound of bird song and sheep to interrupt the peace and tranquility. Welsh black mountain and Jacobs sheep graze the surrounding pasture land whilst buzzards and kites soar up above and woodpeckers nest in the woodland.
For a meal out, you have the choice of two pubs within three miles of the farm, as well as Llandeilo and Carmarthen with a good range of shops and eateries. South Wales also has more than its fair share of glorious sandy beaches peppering the Gower, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and Carmarthen Bay. The Brecon Beacons is also within easy reach offering plenty of opportunity for outdoor adventure. Lace up your walking boots and explore the lovely walks on the doorstep of Blaencwm or enjoy a day walking the coastal footpath or National Park. Cycling also provides another great way to explore the area with its long sweeping (and at times hilly!) routes, and tracks and trails of Brecha Forest for those who prefer to be off-road.
There are plenty of local attractions to keep all ages occupied including Dinefwr, Dryslwyn and Carreg Cennen Castles and Talley Abbey and Lakes. For those with green fingers, the National Botanic Gardens of Wales and Aberglasney Gardens are both within a half hour drive of the farmhouse, whilst Folly Farm is sure to be a hit with the younger ones. The dolphins and seals of Cardigan Bay are also not to be missed.

The farmhouse is surrounded by its own pasture land, woodland area with pond leading to stream below with great walks for dogs on the land, with access to a further 75 acres of woodland being replanted. When the sun shines the house is bathed in sunshine all day and two picnic benches on the front and back allow you to follow the sun round the house. There are two BBQ areas - a stone built BBQ (please bring charcoal) by the house and also a rustic log seating area and BBQ which burns logs (ideal for roasting marshmallows!) in the paddock. There is a 'Farm Shed' where children (and adults!) can play darts and table tennis and store bikes. For those bringing dogs, you are welcome to use a timber stable which has been converted into a kennel.
