About Feshieway Cottage

Feshieway Cottage is a quiet Highland holiday rental in the spectacular Cairngorms National Park, close to Kingussie and Loch Inch. This comfortable holiday cottage is in the tiny hamlet of Drumguish in the breathtaking Upper Spey Valley, sleeping up to six people in three bedrooms with breathtaking views and lots of space inside and out. It's perfect for families and available for bookings all year round.

Drumguish is unspoilt, with sweeping views leading towards the magnificent Cairngorms. Ben Macdui, the highest point in the Cairngorms and Scotland's second tallest mountain after Ben Nevis, is only 12 miles from Feshieway Cottage. This area is a slice of Highland heaven for anyone who loves walking, mountain biking, or simply sitting against a sun-warmed rock in front of an enormous view. From Drumguish, it is possible to walk or ride for miles without seeing another person, letting you enjoy the sheer magnificence of Mother Nature without having to share it with anyone. Local walks include following the Badenoch Way to Insh. Experienced hillwalkers can stretch their legs along the challenging but oh-so-worth-it 20-mile route to Lairig Ghru. Less energetic visitors may prefer the shorter tracks through Inshriach Forest with views of the Monadhliath mountains.

The mountain bike trails around Drumguish are so good that you'll be planning your next visit before you've even left. The Ben Macdui route from Braemar climbs (and descends) a staggering 878 metres along a Blue rated trail, with more trails including the Speyside Way and routes through Rothiemurchus Forest and beside the Glen Feshie waterfalls. The Laggan Wolftrax Trails are half an hour's drive from the cottage, while the Glenviet Trails are just under an hour away. Fishing, golf and gorge walking are all other popular activities that are readily accessible nearby.

When snow falls, it's time to put away your bikes and break out the skis and snowboards, hitting the UK's best ski resorts which are only between 30 and 90 minutes away. The house has plenty of storage space for bikes, skis and other sports equipment, so load up the car and get ready for fun. Other local attractions include the Kincraig Wildlife Park, the open-air Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore, and the RSPB reserve of Insh Marshes within walking distance of the cottage.

You'll find all of the shops and amenities for your self-catering break 10-minutes away in Kingussie, making Feshieway Cottage ideal for your Highland holiday.
