Llangoedmor House has been providing warmth and hospitality to visitors for centuries. The Grade-II listed Georgian cottage is more welcoming today than ever, with guests staying at the self-catering holiday home enjoying comfortable furnishings and thoughtful touches throughout. The traditional terraced property is in the Fforest Fawr UNESCO Global Geopark in the western Brecon Beacons, in the charming village of Myddfai close to the market town of Llandovery. It sleeps six people in three bedrooms and is well suited to families but equally cosy for couples.
Myddfai is famous in Welsh legends as the home of Physicians of Myddfai. Welsh culture is rich in magic, and you'll quickly see why when you experience the majesty of the scenery for yourself. Plunging lakes of sapphire blue, towering mountains, fast-flowing rivers and meandering streams lend themselves perfectly to mystical tales. There's a cafe and visitor centre within strolling distance of Llangedmor House where you can find out more about the local history and enjoy freshly baked Bara Brith. Walk home via St Michael's Church, a Grade-I listed medieval building that has been at the heart of the community for hundreds of years.
Three miles away, Llandovery has all the amenities you need for a self-catering holiday, including a supermarket, butcher, bakery, greengrocer, takeaways, and antique shops. Days out can include browsing the bookshops in Hay-on-Wye, having lunch in Brecon, walking around Crickhowell where the High Street is fiercely independent and The Manor Hotel serves one of the best Sunday lunches you'll enjoy, or sightseeing in historic Swansea. At charming Llandeilo, 13 miles away, there is a wide range of independent shops.
There are so many ways to enjoy the beauty of the Brecon Beacons. Hiking and mountain biking are always popular, but you can also see waterfalls, go caving and potholing, or take a guided pony trek through the countryside. Llangoedmor House is ideally located to do it all.

The owners of Llangoedmor House have furnished it with a mix of modern comforts and antique pieces that suit the house's age. It's a true home-away-from-home with accommodation over two levels.

Outside: The cottage has a private courtyard garden with herbs and garden furniture. There is parking for two cars outside the cottage.
Additional Information: Utilities, a basket of logs for the wood burner, WiFi, bath towels and bed linen are included. A travel cot (no bedding) and a highchair are available. Up to 2 dogs welcome at no extra charge. Please contact the owners to discuss bringing more. The owners offer couples sharing one room a discount. They also run a special “Winter Weeks for Couples” promotion from November to February outside of school holidays. Please contact the owner for more details. During the school summer holidays the changeover day is Saturday. Throughout the rest of the year the changeover days are Friday and Monday. Smoking is not permitted.
