About Coachingmans Cottage

An ideal retreat for couples, families and friends who want to stay in a cosy traditional character cottage in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Coachingmans Cottage has been carefully and sympathetically renovated and provides an ideal mix of original features with comfortable modern facilities. Spacious and cheerful, the cottage has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, affords thick stone walls, oak ceiling beams, a quarry tiled entrance and latch doors and wood burning stove which all add to the charm.

Perfectly located in the village of Trecastle, Coachingmans Cottage is just a short stroll from the local Castle Coaching Inn where you can enjoy a pint of ale and food in the bar or restaurant after an enjoyable days walking, cycling or exploring the market towns and nearby villages with historic churches, farm shops for local produce and quirky tea rooms. The neighbouring villages of Dyfynnog and Sennybridge also have good amenities including numerous pubs, tearooms, newsagents and petrol stations.

The cottage has a private enclosed garden with decking veranda (accessed directly from the kitchen) where you can enjoy alfresco dining, a BBQ or a glass of wine whist watching the magnificent Red Kites flying up above.

The area has much appeal for outdoor enthusiasts and romantics alike. Visit the remote Black Mountain range for a challenging hike, or stroll around the Usk Reservoir and enjoy some star gazing afterwards. Wander around Trecastle Antiques Centre (a labyrinth of collectibles) or explore the forest walks and bike trails nearby.

Sitting fifteen miles between the market towns of Llandovery and Brecon within the Brecon Beacons National Park, Coachingmans Cottage is a perfect base for exploring the areas many attractions and ideal for those who enjoy the great outdoors and the many activities it offers.
