About Bluebell Loft

Bluebell Loft sleeps four guests and is a first floor apartment in a 16th Century farmhouse that offers comfortable budget holiday accommodation which is ideal for couples, families or friends (a discount is offered for just two guests). An ideal holiday retreat for anyone looking for a bargain and somewhere clean and homely with all the basics, at a low price.

Situated on a working farm on the edge of Llanspyddid, a village in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Bluebell Loft is just one mile from the market town of Brecon. It is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts with lots of space for safe parking and storage of outdoor gear including canoes and bikes - an ideal retreat all year round.

The area offers a host of outdoor activities to enjoy including mountain biking (bikes can be hired locally and delivered), canoeing, wonderful walks, cycling along the Brecon-Monmouth Canal, horse riding, abseiling and gorge walking to name just a few.

Surrounded by fields, Bluebell Loft sits in a haven for wildlife with rabbits, foxes, hares and badgers in abundance, along with bird life such as pheasants red kite and buzzards soaring up above. You can walk a peaceful private track from the farm up to the hills and take in the panoramic views. The perfect place to enjoy a peaceful picnic, popular with artists who love to paint the views and photographers wanting to capture their beauty.

For those who want to explore the area, this is an ideal base with many attractions and interesting places to visit. These include: Castell Coch, a relatively modern fairytale castle; Dinefwr Park and Newton House owned by the National Trust; Brecon Mountain Railway where you can enjoy the wonderful scenery under the power of steam; Dragonfly Cruises on the picturesque Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal; The National Showcave Centre for Wales and the Brecon Cathedral and Heritage Centre.

Accommodation comprises:

  • Two bedrooms - one double and one twin.
  • Bathroom with bath, overhead shower, WC and wash basin.
  • Lounge with dining area in alcove offering comfortable leather reclining sofas, Freeview television, DVD player and iPod docking station.
  • Galley style kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster.
  • Communal laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer on site.

Outside: The apartment is accessed via a shared lawn that takes you to a private door and up a flight of stairs into the apartment.

Additional information: Prices include bed linen and beds are made up ready for arrival. Heating and electricity included in the price. Towels not included but available at £5 per head. Mobile phone reception is very good for all networks and Wi-Fi available. Brecon offers three supermarkets and many excellent local shops. Tesco and Asda offer a delivery service. Short breaks available. Unfortunately no pets.

A discount is offered for two guests.
