East Kames affords a spectacular position looking out over Kames Bay, close to the mouth of beautiful Loch Melfort. Sleeping up to ten guests in five bedrooms, the cottage is ideal all year round with a log burner for winter months and grounds that are extensive with plenty of space to relax, and access onto the shoreline with great wildlife spotting opportunities (including seals!).
Providing comfy self catering which has been awarded Four Stars, East Kames is an excellent touring base for exploring the many attractions of the West Highlands of Scotland and also the beautiful islands, each with their own charm.
The beautiful coastal gardens of Arduaine Gardens (National Trust Scotland) are a short easy walk from the cottage and are a must to visit with twenty acres to explore. For those who can't bear to be away from the water, head south to the Crinan Canal, sandwiched between Loch Fyne and the Sound of Jura - a great place to relax and watch the boats. Stop en-route and soak up the history of Kilmartin Glen, or visit Loch Awe (aptly named!) or the Isle of Seil.
Oban is another popular place to visit, not just because it provides access to the beautiful islands dotted off the mainland, but also because it has a great range of shops and places to have a meal - Take a day trip to the Isle of Mull and discover the vibrant beauty of Tobermory.
Argyll and The Isles make a wonderful place to spend a holiday for the scenery alone. This, coupled with an enormous variety of interesting places to see and things to do, ensures that not only is this an ideal place to have a relaxing holiday but it is also a great base for enjoying the all that the area has to offer.
Whether you enjoy walking, golf, cycling, fishing, visiting gardens, watching the sea and loch life, exploring historic castles or horse riding, this beautiful area is sure to please!

East Kames sleeps up to ten guests in five bedrooms (three are en-suites!) and offers single level self-catering accommodation ideal for families and friends. Whilst the property is ideal for larger groups, it is equally suited to couples or small parties when two bedrooms and the additional living room are closed off, making it exceptionally versatile.
The house has modern under floor heating throughout (with the exception of the second living room and two bedrooms with electric panel heaters). A log burner in the main living room makes it cosy on chilly nights. Water is supplied from a spring. A cot and a high chair are available (please request in advance).
