The Drawing Room is a timeless classic. The one-bedroom self-catering property is just outside the village of Insch, offering a secluded haven for couples and individuals to experience Scottish lifestyle first hand. It's close to the Bennachie range, a favourite spot for walkers and cyclists for its diverse terrain and breathtaking views. It's less than half a mile from cafes and convenience shops and around a 20-minute stroll from the friendly Station Hotel. The Drawing Room is a place to relax and unwind, where you can feel inspired by your surroundings and leave feeling revitalised with fantastic memories.
Insch has something for everyone. Walking and cycling are always popular, as is horse riding. Stop by the Bennachie Visitor Centre for walking and wildlife watching, and it is a good resource for maps and expert information about the local terrain. The River Dee, a favourite salmon fishing spot of the Queen Mother, is nearby, and you're less than a mile from the Insch Golf Club. The leisure centre has a gym and tennis courts.
Aberdeen is well under an hour's drive, putting more shops and attractions at your disposal. Sightseeing can include visiting Delgattie Castle, the ruins of 13th-Century Dunnideer Castle, and Haddo House. You're even closer to Oldmeldrum, Huntly and Alford. Spend a day at the beach or map out a tour of local whisky distilleries. If you're there in late summer, you'll be able to witness the Braemar Gathering spectacle - one of the most exciting dates in the Highland Games calendar.
A holiday in the Scottish Highlands is always a good idea, especially when you stay somewhere as welcoming as The Drawing Room. Holiday bookings are available all year round, making right now the perfect time to escape.
