Hanlith Hall is home to Tower Cottage, charming holiday apartment that sleeps six guests (plus an additional two with the use of a sofa bed). It is set in the very heart of the picturesque Yorkshire Dales and has an interesting history that dates back over nine hundred years. Indeed, one of its more recent 'claims to fame' is that Prince Charles stayed at Hanlith Hall when it was owned by Sir William Bulmer!
Mentioned in the Doomsday Book, Hanlith Hall is steeped in history and after many years of being restored to its former glory, today is a truly spectacular property that provides a very special place to spend a memorable holiday.
The holiday apartment is located in a newly restored wing and guests have the privacy of a separate entrance. Being set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, it is an ideal place to enjoy a vast array of outdoor activities including: walking; rock climbing; hiking; mountain biking; horse riding (you can even bring your own horse with livery being offered on site); shooting (upon request) and fishing (within three miles and on request).
There are also plenty of attractions available nearby including: Malham Cove, an amphitheatre shaped cliff formation within the limestone rock; Malham Tarn, England's highest freshwater lake and Gordale Scar, a spectacular gorge complete with waterfall.
The market towns of Settle and Skipton are both nearby and offer eating establishments, interesting shops to browse and markets on certain days selling local produce. Skipton also has one of the finest medieval castles in the country which is well worth a visit. The pretty village of Malham is close by and a very popular destination with walkers.

Hanlith Hall is home to a self contained three bedroom holiday apartment that can accommodate up to six guests in three bedrooms. The apartment has its own separate entrance which is located below the tower and offers a high standard of self catering holiday accommodation throughout.
Accommodation comprises:
Open plan fully tiled kitchen with solid wood units, granite worktops, microwave, washing machine, hob, oven and fridge.
Living area which again is open plan and is complete with 60" plasma television (with Sky), comfortable seating, DVD and CD player and electric wall mounted fire for cosy nights in.
King-size bedroom with en suite bathroom and fitted wardrobes.
Double bedroom with en suite shower room and fitted wardrobes.
Third bedroom with adult size bunk beds (all bedrooms have flat screen televisions with Sky).
Family bathroom.
Outside: Guests have the use of the garden area with ample garden furniture and guests are also welcome to walk around 'The Park' - a thirty two acre field where walks along the stream can be enjoy (you can follow the stream to Malham which is three quarters of a mile away). Plenty of parking and bikes can be stored in the owners garage which is next to the apartment. Guests are able to bring their horses as grazing and stabling is available upon request (please speak to the owner regarding charges).
Additional information: Meals can be arranged by special request. A generous welcome pack is provided upon arrival. The apartment is heated (and hot water supplied) by the wood burning Aga which is operated by the owners and included within the price. A cot and high chair can be provided upon request. There is a sofa bed in the sitting room and linen can be provided for an additional charge.
