Abbey Holiday Cottages offer three charming holiday cottages that are positioned in the unspoilt village of Middlesmoor near the lovely market town of Pateley Bridge on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Accommodating parties of up to six guests individually and larger groups of seventeen when all three cottages are rented together, this is an ideal rural holiday retreat for a relaxing break or gathering of friends or family.

Affording wonderful unrivalled scenic views, Middlesmoor is in a picturesque setting at the head of upper Nidderdale. With its little cobbled streets, the village offers unrivalled peace and tranquillity in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is also perfectly placed for exploring the stunning scenic Nidderdale Valley and beyond, by car, bike or foot. Middlesmoor also has a pub in walking distance of the cottages, serving really good food and ale.

This is fantastic bird watching and walking country with great walks along the Nidderdale Way starting from the cottage. Scar House Reservoir sits at the head of the dale with level walking and Studley Deer Park and Fountains Abbey (National Trust properties) are within easy reach, as is Brimham Rocks with its acres of fascinating rock formations.

Local visitor attractions within fifteen miles include: Howstean Gorge with its amazing deep limestone gorge and superb restaurant; Stump Cross Caverns; Lightwater Valley Theme Park; Nidderdale Museum at Pateley Bridge; Black Sheep Brewery and Visitor Centre; Nidderdale Angling Club, Theakston Brewery and Visitor Centre to name just a few.

A little further afield and within twenty five miles you have: Ripley Castle; the beautiful market town of Ripon with its cathedral, Prison and Police Museum and Victorian Workhouse Museum; Bolton Abbey; Knaresborough Castle and Mother Shiptons Cave at Knaresborough.
