If you are looking for a holiday cottage with a touch of the unusual, then The Manse in the village of Keld is for you. It is steeped in local history, and is in the very heart of the village, where it and its adjoining United Reformed Church have been central to village life since 1860.
The Manse is still owned by the church and has been recently completely refurbished to enhance its natural charm and understated simplicity. Combined with all the needs of 21st century living, The Manse provides a character and comfortable holiday location within the Yorkshire Dales.
It has many original features, including deepset windows with windowseats, wood and York stone flagged floors, beamed ceilings and Georgian windows framing the breathtaking views over the village and Swaledale, which are literally on the doorstep.
The tiny village of Keld is situated in the Swaledale region of the Pennines with the Yorkshire Dales National Park close by. Its beautiful location makes it an ideal base to explore the surrounding countryside and the many attractions of the Yorkshire Dales. There are a number of outdoor activities to enjoy with cycling and walking being a popular choice due to the stunning scenery. The Pennine Way and Coast to Coast walks are only a short stroll away from The Manse and there is a pub within walking distance.
