Abbey Holiday Cottages offer three delightful holiday cottages that are located in the pretty village of Middlesmoor near the small market town of Pateley Bridge on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Accommodating parties of five or six individually and larger groups of seventeen if all cottages are rented together, this is an ideal rural retreat for a relaxing holiday or gathering of friends.

Affording beautiful unrivalled panoramic views, Middlesmoor is in a picturesque position at the head of upper Nidderdale. It offers unrivalled peace and tranquillity in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is perfectly placed for exploring the stunning scenic Nidderdale Valley and beyond, by foot, car or bike. The village also has a pub in walking distance of the cottages, serving very good food and ale.

This is marvellous bird watching and walking country with lovely walks along the Nidderdale Way starting from the cottage front door. Scar House Reservoir sits at the head of the dale with level walking and Studley Deer Park and Fountains Abbey (both National Trust properties) are nearby, as is Brimham Rocks with its acres of incredible rock formations.

The local visitor attractions within fifteen miles include: Stump Cross Caverns; Howstean Gorge with its amazing deep limestone gorge and excellent restaurant; Nidderdale Museum at Pateley Bridge; Lightwater Valley Theme Park; Black Sheep Brewery and Visitor Centre; Theakston Brewery and Visitor Centre and Nidderdale Angling Club to name just a few.

A little further afield and within twenty five miles you have: the beautiful market town of Ripon with its cathedral, Prison and Police Museum and Victorian Workhouse Museum; Ripley Castle; Knaresborough Castle; Bolton Abbey and Mother Shiptons Cave at Knaresborough.
