Clarks Cottage is located just a few minutes walk from the cobbled village centre of Dent, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park on the edge of Cumbria. This exceptional stone holiday cottage is detached and affords a superb position with stunning views across Dentdale. Furnished and equipped to a very high standard of comfort and style, the cottage has many lovely features such as natural stone work and exposed beams. Guests have the use of a large patio with beautiful views providing the perfect place to relax and enjoy an alfresco meal or glass of wine after an exciting day exploring the area.

Located within the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, Dentdale is the smallest and possibly the most delightful Yorkshire dale with wonderful rolling countryside, country lanes, pretty riverside walks and footpaths leading across the fells and hills starting from the cottage. You can't help but marvel at the pure natural beauty, deep heritage and stunning scenery - a place where you can truly escape the pressures of every day life. This is also a convenient location that provides easy access for exploring both Cumbria and the Dales, along with the many attractions of the Lake District which is approximately fifteen miles away.

There are a multitude of outdoor activities to enjoy locally. Dentdale is fantastic for walkers and also a good base for those who enjoy cycling both along the quiet country lanes and off-road with the Pennine and Yorkshire Dales Cycleways passing through the village. Dentdale has its own Heritage Centre where you can discover the social customs and working lives of Dalesfolk from times gone by. The village also has a Meditation Centre for quiet contemplation, along with two cafes and three pubs where you can enjoy a meal or a pint of ale.

The Settle-Carlisle Railway is one of the most spectacular scenic journeys in the world. It travels through Dentdale and stops at Dent Station where you can jump on a train to Carlisle or Leeds and enjoy the breath taking views of the Dales and Pennines.

With stunning scenery, fantastic walking and numerous attractions within easy reach, this is an ideal holiday cottage to taste this little bit of paradise.

Outside: There is a large patio and garden with table, chairs, barbecue and hammock for lazy sunny days! Private parking for three cars.

Additional information: Bed linen and towels provided. LPG gas central heating, electricity and logs for stove included in the price. Travel cot and high chair provided. No smoking in the cottage. Pets welcome at £30 per pet per week.
