Old Orchard cottage is an immaculate holiday home that sleeps six guests in three bedrooms, located in the small ‘up market’, pretty village of Allerthorpe (pub, golf course, fishing, gliding and water sports nearby). The village is two miles from the charming market town of Pocklington, sitting at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds in the Vale of York.
The picturesque town of Pocklington provides an ideal base from which to explore Yorkshire and its many attractions including the City of York, the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors and the coastal resorts of Filey, Scarborough, Whitby and Bridlington - all within easy driving distance.
This delightful town is best known as the home of Burnby Hall Gardens with it’s famous collection of water lilies and beautiful gardens with lakes. The town has a weekly market and there are cycle routes (including the North Sea cycle route) and lovely walks along the Wolds way which includes the David ‘Hockney trail’. Other attractions nearby are Castle Howard, Sledmere House and the North York Moors Steam Railway through breathtaking scenery.

Outside: There is a small rear garden, along with a front patio area for guest's use. Lockable bike storage is available and there is a carport and parking for two additional cars.
Additional information: Under floor heating throughout. Bed linen, towels and utilities included within the price. Dog allowed. Sorry but no smoking. Cot and high chair available by request.
