You will feel you have escaped to a slower pace of life as soon as you arrive at Hinton Lodge. Situated in a lovely country lane you are away from traffic and busy roads yet still close to road and connections for visiting Bath, Bristol and London.
Hinton Lodge simply oozes character and is quintessentially English. The accommodation is on one level, so it is perfect for families with young children. Here you can sit in the garden and enjoy the lovely views; enjoy seeing the rabbits jumping through the grass and feed the owners beautiful horse, Magic.
If you are looking for a romantic getaway, or somewhere special to spend your honeymoon, Hinton Lodge provides a peaceful idyllic retreat with lovely features such as the four poster bed. You can walk to the famous Linnet Pub in the nearby village, which is renowned for excellent food and wine. It is perfect in both the summer and winter - on those more chilly nights you can curl up in front of the log fire, and talk about your days adventures and there is also full central heating, to ensure you are warm.
The owners aim to make you welcome as soon as you arrive and provide a welcome hamper with some essentials, including a bottle of wine in the fridge. Sundries such as dishwasher tablets, toilet roll and washing up liquid are also supplied.
The magnificent City of Bath will be high on your list of places to visit whilst staying at Hinton Lodge. A World Heritage City, with Georgian architecture and the Roman Baths, as well as many festivals throughout the year encompassing literature, food and music as well as the Christmas Market which sells festive and European gifts and produce.
The counties of Wiltshire and Somerset are rich in farmland and as a result there are many farmers markets and farm shops offering organic and fairtrade produce. Some of the picturesque towns nearby are Bradford on Avon, Corsham and the National Trust village of Lacock which is regularly used for filming.
There are a multitude of attractions and places of interest to explore from Hinton Lodge such as: Stonehenge and Avebury (30 minute drive); Bath (30 minute drive); Salisbury (40 minutes); Longleat House, gardens, safari and children attractions.
