The Annexe is a newly refurbished end terraced two bedroom cottage in the picturesque village of Bramfield, with an award winning country pub just a short walk from the door. Steeped in history, the property was formerly part of a wagon wheel making factory, and today there are still original wheel strappings in parts of the cottage and exposed timber beams throughout.
Although the Annexe is a characterful period property, it has been equipped with all the necessary features of modern living to ensure guests have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Great care has been taken by the owners to ensure that its traditional feel has not been compromised.
The Annex accommodates up to four guests in a double and twin bedroom, making it an ideal holiday retreat for a family or an adult party, however it is also available for rentals on a one bedroom basis only (at a reduced rate), making it perfect for a romantic break for a couple.
Situated in the peaceful village of Bramfield, The Annex is conveniently close (six miles) to the coastline, yet far enough away to avoid inflated coastal prices! It is also close to the town of Halesworth with a supermarket and all the necessary conveniences.
The Annexe’s location gives easy access to the picturesque surrounding countryside where guests can enjoy many great walks from the front door. As well as the fantastic pub just two hundred yards from the door, a local shop and horse riding can also be found in the village.
The Annexe is situated close to the renowned north east Suffolk Heritage coast line, with its beautiful beaches and coastal walks. The picturesque seaside towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh are close by. Both have a quirky variety of independent retailers, cafés, pubs and restaurants, and Southwold has a fantastic promenade and pier. The closest access to the coast is only six miles away at the less crowded but impressive pebbly beach at Dunwich, with a beach café selling the best fish and chips ever (seasonal). The seaside village of Walberswick is famous for crabbing, offering hours of fun for all of the family!
Away from the coast, as well as the miles of undulating picturesque countryside walks, there are a variety of fascinating sights and places to visit including Framingham Castle (built in 1189), Minsmere (RSPB reserve), Sutton Hoo (a prominent Anglo Saxon burial site) and Snape Maltings which includes a concert hall, galleries, shops, and eateries.

Accommodation comprises:
- Sitting room featuring comfortable leather sofas, flat screen television with integral DVD player and patio doors leading to the outside area.
- Spacious fully equipped kitchen with table and seating for four (high chair also available), washing machine, microwave, electric cooker and fridge.
- Large double bedroom with king size double bed, double built-in wardrobes, integral draw/shelving area and floor length mirror. Travel cot also available for infants.
- Twin bedroom.
- Newly fitted bathroom with bath, washbasin and electrically powered shower.
Outside: Gravel area to the front of the property with ample parking space for two cars. There is also a spacious paved and gravel area to the side of the property including outside table and chairs, feature bench and BBQ.
Additional information: The owners have tried to think of everything you might need to make your stay comfortable, so there is a picnic rug, picnic set, extra blankets, heaters, iron/ironing board, hairdryer etc. The property is heated by night storage heaters. Price includes all linen and towels and electricity. Single pet welcome with restrictions (guests are requested to keep pet in kitchen area or in basket in lounge, no pets on carpeted area and not upstairs). Property is available on a two bedroom and one bedroom basis with price reduction for one bedroom let and is available for short breaks (three nights minimum, not in high season). There is a public golf course two miles away. All rooms feature extensive original features including exposed beams and timberwork.
