Swilland Mill is a Victorian Grade II listed building which provides luxurious holiday accommodation in the Suffolk village of Swilland. Originally built in the 1890s, the property has been beautifully converted into three 5 Star holiday homes that offer a high level of comfort and style, perfectly combining modern living with original features.
The three adjoining properties that make up Swilland Mill can be rented together to accommodate large parties of up to fourteen guests or individually for smaller groups. The Lucam sleeps six guests and The Granary and The Mylen both sleep four. When Swilland Mill is booked as one large house, it provides luxurious accommodation which is perfect for those special occasions or large get togethers for friends and families. When booked individually, all three holiday homes are extremely private and ideal for a family holiday, friends wanting to spend time together or couples looking for a luxury retreat.
Formerly a coal-fired roller mill, it is an imposing and fascinating property which still retains original features including doors and pulleys that were once used in the processing of flour making. Today they are enhanced with modern furnishings, top quality finishing's and stylish decor to create real comfort.
There are tables and chairs on the terrace to the front of the property with lovely large gardens to the rear and side. Attractive exterior lighting welcomes you to the property and leads you to the hot tub and outside changing room. From there a lawned area leads to the children's play area with playhouse in the shape of a mill, where the children can let off steam. The old mill pond has a fountain and is fully fenced for children's safety.
When all three properties are rented together, there are three king sized double bedrooms and four twin bedded rooms, along with three bathrooms plus two ensuites. Twin beds can be zipped together for flexibility, to create superking sized beds. Kitchens are very modern and well equipped and the central property (The Lucam) has a dining table which seats fourteen, as well as all the necessary cutlery and china to ensure meals can be enjoyed together.
There is a nearby pub, The Moon and Mushroom which sells excellent food as well as some of Suffolk's finest beers. There is also an excellent choice of restaurants in the nearby towns of Framlingham, Woodbridge and by the quayside in Ipswich overlooking the marina.

The Granary is a spacious open plan two bedroom house, set over two floors, sleeping four guests. It retains many original features and offers luxury holiday accommodation. It has both a front door leading from the dining room to the front and a rear door, opening out onto a private terrace with table and chairs and additional space for small children to play. A gate from the terrace leads to the private garden mainly laid to lawn with views over the large mill pond (fully fenced). The Granary has a wonderful feel with vibrant reds where you can relax with the 42” satellite television, play with the Nintendo Wii games console, watch the stars whilst relaxing in the shared hot tub, play parlour games or enjoy a BBQ in your own private garden and chill whilst the children play swingball.
The Lucam sleeps six guests and is the Matriarch and the middle house of the Mill, covering four floors. It has three bedrooms over two floors and two bathrooms and enough room for up to fourteen to eat and relax if using the whole Mill as one large house. You can enjoy the 50” satellite television and Nintendo Wii games console, have a movie night with the projector and screen or experience the simple life with parlour games and books. The garden provides a private escape with Gazebo, fish pond, Swingball and BBQ and the shared hot tub at night is fantastic with chilled champagne.
The Mylen offers pure luxury for groups of up to four - ideal for two couples or a family offering two bedrooms – one ensuite, and a family bathroom. Original features perfectly combine with modern living where you can enjoy a 42” satellite television and Nintendo Wii games console. Alternatively, relax in front of the log fire, watch a movie on the projector and screen or play parlour games and read. Directly outside there is a bricked terrace with table and chairs and a planter with herbs and shrubs. The shared hot tub has a changing room beside it, is permanently heated and is large enough for the whole group. There is also a bike store and parking area. The private garden has a Gazebo, fish pond, BBQ, Swingball and the communal area also has a children's play area with a windmill play house.
Additional information: Heating, electricity, Egyptian cotton bedlinen and towels (including hot tub towels) are included in the price.
When you are tired of relaxing and have exhausted all the Mill has to offer, you can go off and explore Suffolk's many attractions and wonderful places, knowing the hot tub will be waiting for you upon your return!
