Jayes Holiday Cottages are two purpose converted holiday cottages which are open to all and especially suitable and adapted for disabled visitors (M3a Assisted Mobility Rated). They are self contained, have generous parking and access to make your stay easier and are furnished and equipped to a lovely standard to ensure you have everything you need for a relaxing enjoyable holiday. Each cottage has its own patio area overlooking the owner's large pond where visitors are welcome to fish.
The holiday cottages are located in the heart of the beautiful Suffolk countryside and situated in the small village of Wattisfield on the Suffolk and Norfolk borders. They are only 10 miles from the market town of Diss and 12 miles from historic Bury St.Edmunds. The pretty Norfolk Heritage coastline is also within easy reach offering vast sandy beaches and bird watching reserves.
Also nearby are the picturesque Norfolk Broads with their many attractions. The cities of Cambridge and Norwich are within an hours drive and for those who enjoy horse racing, Newmarket and Great Yarmouth hold events throughout the year.
Many attractive Suffolk villages are worth a visit including Long Melford and Lavenham, ideal for antique hunters. Bury St Edmunds offers a wide range of shopping facilities including a street market every Wednesday and Saturday. There is a local pub and restaurant one and a half miles away and a local shop within three miles.
Dogs are welcome (at no extra charge) and there is a large ten acre field which guests are welcome to use for walking them.

There are two identical semi-detached holiday cottages - Woodpecker and Kingfisher. Both offer the following accommodation and facilities:
One bedroom with two single beds. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge area to accommodate an additional two guests.
Both cottages are on one level with low thresholds and wider doors for the benefit of the less mobile and wheelchair users.
There is a wet room with shower, lowered basin, non slip floor and rails to help with mobility if required.
A small kitchen which is well equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, fridge and partly lowered worktops with hob for wheelchair users to enjoy cooking.
A lounge with comfy seating, TV/Sky Freeview, DVD player and patio doors which open onto a private enclosed courtyard garden with outdoor furniture and BBQ. There is a path leading down to the well stocked pond where visitors are welcome to fish for the large variety of carp.
Everything is all level, including swims by the pond, and can be enjoyed by all.
There is also a ten acre field adjacent to the cottages which guests are welcome to use and walk around.
Additional information: All electric heating, bedding and towels are included in the price. Non smokers only please. Please note these cottages may be unsuitable for young children due to open gardens and deep water. There is a wet floor toilet and shower room allowing easy access for all. There is also a shower chair available.
