Simon's Cottage is a period quintessential holiday cottage, that is located close to the Suffolk coast, in the village of Knodishall. The cottage retains all of its original charm and character and can accommodate four to six guests in two bedrooms. With a secluded sunny, south facing garden, a country kitchen and dining room, Simon's Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Suffolk coast and its many attractions.
Located in the typical quaint Suffolk village of Knodishall, Simon's Cottage is just two miles from seaside village of Thorpeness and three miles from the coastal town of Aldeburgh - both of which are easily accessible within a few minutes by car or bike. The surrounding country side is an area of natural beauty with fields within five minute's walk in any direction from the cottage. There is also a local pub just a short stroll away, along with a post office and a farm shop where you can purchase fresh produce.
The wider area is full of attractions and interesting places to visit. The nearby town of Orford is home to Orford Castle and church and boat rides are available from the quay. One of the UKs premiere bird watching areas, Minsmere, is very close by as are the arts, crafts and music of Snape Maltings.
The cottage is ideally located for a (pebble) beach holiday, country walking, cycling holiday or a quiet get away. The surrounding area is full of excellent local restaurants and gastro pubs that litter the countryside - all within easy reach of the cottage.
