Designed primarily for couples or those with small children, the cottage has one bedroom, en-suite bathroom, living room and kitchen area. The cottage enjoys grounds and gardens of almost one acre with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. An 18 hole golf course and restaurant, a pretty glen and even a castle are within a short walk. A further mile leads to two pubs and a restaurant, all serving excellent food, in the village of Denholm. Gateside is one of two semi-detached barn conversions within the grounds of Fa’side Estate and perfectly located near to the magnificent city of Edinburgh which can be quickly accessed by car or train. Within the shared grounds of the estate there is a small woodland pond and almost an acre of woodland which is a quarter of a century old.  There is a shared picnic bench and barbecue area for enjoying the summer afternoons and evenings and the gardens have a small orchard and are surrounded by a beech hedge.  You will often find the owners black rock chickens wandering around the garden.
