The Potting Shed is a quirky charming holiday cottage that is located in the beautiful Quantock Hills. The cottage sleeps up to four guests and is equally ideal for both couples and small families.

Converted from a redundant outbuilding, The Potting Shed is one of four cottages set within approximately five acres of woodland garden, surrounded by fields. The grounds back on to a valley of mature forestry commission woodland and are located on the lower slopes of the Quantocks, deep within beautiful Somerset countryside.

The Quantocks are one of Somerset's best kept secrets and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The beautiful rolling hills are a haven for wildlife and provide plenty of fantastic walking opportunities amongst beautiful countryside. Other local activities include fishing, golf and cycling.

Positioned near to the small Somerset village of Goathurst with its ancient church, The Potting Shed is a great place to enjoy a relaxing holiday and also makes an excellent base from which to explore the whole of Somerset and its many attractions. These include: Durleigh Reservoir where you can enjoy windsurfing, sailing and fishing; West Somerset Steam Railway where you can take a nostalgic trip back in time through the wonderful countryside; Fyne Court National Trust Nature Reserve and Hestercombe House with its wonderful formal gardens.

The Potting Shed has lots of character and charm and accommodates four guests comfortably with the option of an additional guest by arrangement.

It stands for the most part, in its own walled yard and comprises:

Open-plan kitchen/dining area.
Double bedroom with entrance out to the old rose garden.
Bathroom with over bath shower.
Separate toilet.
Small cosy sitting room with French doors opening onto a secluded south-east facing corner of the main garden - a perfect place to enjoy a barbecue! The sitting room also has a sofa-bed that can accommodate an extra guests by arrangement.
Stairs from the sitting-room leading up to a galleried twin bedroom.

Changeover day: Flexible and short breaks welcome (please see the owners website for prices)

Additional information: Well behaved dogs are welcome. The cottage is equipped with an oven/grill/hob, fridge with icebox, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, hand mixer, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Limited access to the internet is available but it can be variable as can be mobile phone. Cotton bed linen and towels are supplied. Cot and high-chair are available by request and there is a stair-gate at the top of the stairs. There is plenty of garden furniture for meals outside and a barbeque is available.
