Pen-y-Geulan Barn sleeps five guests and is a charming stone holiday cottage that is located in the heart of the beautiful North Wales countryside. With superb far reaching views, the cottage is ideal for families or friends and provides a real sense of tranquillity and the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.
Providing a peaceful retreat all year round, Pen-y-Geulan Barn is situated ten miles from the small Welsh town of Bala, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Bala offers a wide range of outdoor activities including sailing, fishing, canoeing, swimming, wind-surfing and for those seeking excitement, white water rafting at the famous white water centre.
Pen-y-Geulan Barn's convenient location provides easy access to the beautiful towns of Llangollen (apx twenty mins), Snowdon, Betws-y-Coed, Chester, Harlech (all approximately forty five minutes) and Angelsey. It is a good central base from which to explore the area with its numerous attractions including historic castles, attractive villages and charming market towns, all within easy driving distance.
There are a wide range of walks from the doorstep of the cottage for those who want to explore the local area by foot, along with eating establishments, pubs and shops within a fifteen minute drive. There are a number of trout fisheries in the area, including Llyn Brenig Reservoir (ten miles) and the pony trekking in Betws-y-coed or mountain biking in Llandegla are highly recommended - it just depends on how energetic you are feeling!
In a picturesque tranquil position within North Wales, Pen-y-Geulan Barn provides an excellent base for touring Snowdonia, along with the rest of North Wales and its many attractions.

Twin bedroom, leading out onto a private decking balcony where you can sit and take in the beautiful views.
Outside: Picturesque orchard with panoramic views. Unlimited parking on the gravel driveway. Patio area with garden furniture.
Additional information: Please note that the washing machine and tumble dryer are located in a separate communal laundry room and not in the cottage itself. Cot, stair gate, highchair and baby bath available if required. Oil central heating, logs/coal, electricity, linen and towels provided free of charge.
