North Lodge dates back to 1790 and was in former times a gate house to Cors-y-Gedol Hall. Standing proud in its own third of an acre garden just two minutes from sandy beaches and rugged mountains. This 5 star graded cottage sleeps six guests in three bedrooms.
Located in the South West corner of the Snowdonia National Park, near to Barmouth which is arguably one of the most beautiful locations within Wales, with its lovely beach, pretty harbour and good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants.
There are plenty of things to see and do in this lovely area including: Harlech Castle, steam train, craft centre, slate mine, Harlech Royal St. David's golf course and pony trekking. The accommodation is also ideal for those who enjoy fishing, sailing and visiting the sandy " blue flag" beaches of the Cambrian coastline, along with those looking for a walking holiday in the Welsh mountains.
Snowdonia is a contrast of wooded valleys, rugged mountains, rushing streams, peaceful lakes, glorious beaches and boat-dotted harbours. Visit quaint villages such as Llanbedr, the gateway to Shell Island and Llandanwg with its Celtic church in the sand dunes. Alternatively stay locally and enjoy a gentle stroll across Barmouth Bridge which spanns the river or a relaxing day on the beach.
There are several peaks to be conquered throughout Snowdonia, with varying degrees of difficulty providing something for all levels of fitness and experience. Alternatively take a ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway and enjoy the magnificent peaks in a leisurely fashion.

Accommodating up to six guests, North Lodge offers the following facilities:
Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, electric cooker, microwave and dishwasher.
There is a dining area in the kitchen but the inviting dining room with its large oak table makes meals feel a little more special.
The downstairs cloakroom come utility room has a toilet, a washbasin and a washer dryer.
In the lounge, the cottage has been tastefully restored to echo its original high beamed ceiling. What could be nicer after a long day than sitting in front of a roaring fire with a bottle of wine relaxing watching a video, a DVD or just listening to music?
The master bedroom has a king size bed and an en-suite shower room.
The view through one of the gothic windows in the twin bedroom is of the Cambrian coastline and the third bedroom has full size bunk beds. These two bedrooms share the main bathroom which has a bath.
The owners look forward to welcoming all their guests for short breaks or longer holidays.
Additional information: One dog welcome. All inclusive prices. Welcome Pack. Open fire coal and logs provided. Bath towels and hand towels are supplied (not beach towels). Cot and highchair provided. It is a five minute walk to the sandy beach, village pub and new village play area.

Just a note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at North Lodge last week. The house is so beautiful and absolutely immaculate!!
We have been holidaying in the Harlech area for the past seven years and North Lodge is by far the best property we have stayed in.
We look forward to returning next year! I would like to be able to book it now but I have to wait until term starts again in September to
find out when next year's holidays run from. Thank you also again for the new barbecue...we were lucky enough by Tuesday to have
