This delightful stone holiday cottage built in the 1800's is situated in the centre of the picturesque coastal village of Llwyngwril in the Snowdonia National Park. A 10 minute walk following the River Gwril brings you to a shingle beach where sometimes you see dolphins playing. Glasfor has been completely renovated whilst maintaining it's character.
Local attractions
Barmouth, Aberdovey and Machynlleth are just a car ride away, or you can just hop on the local bus or train to Porthmadog and Pwllheli. The ancient church Llangelynin takes 5 minutes by car and Llangollen which hosts the International Musical Eisteddfod is just 90 minutes by car. Llwyngwril to Snowdon takes 1hr 40mins and for train enthusiasts, there are several little gauge railways (Talyllyn, Fairbourne railway, Portmadoc, Blaenau, Ffestiniog and Bala railway), all within a 1 hour drive (one being just ten minutes away). Both the The RNLI visitors centre and the Centre of Alternative Technology are within easy reach. Harlech castle which is spectacularly situated gazing out across land and sea with Snowdonia as a backdrop, is also just a short drive away.
The cottage is close to the Cader Idris range of mountains and Gregynnan Lakes which is above the Mawddach Estuary and offers breath taking scenery. Llwyngwril itself has a public house, post office/tea rooms, church, chapel, craft room, grocery store and a childrens playground.
Glasfor is a comfortable holiday cottage which is ideal for those looking for a walking or cycling holiday or simply relaxing by the beach or lakeside. Horseriding, fishing and golf are nearby.

Lounge to the front of the property which seats 4 people and offers a TV, DVD player and selection of games and childrens DVD's.
Kitchen/diner equipped with table and chairs, toaster, cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine.
Two double bedrooms (cot, highchair and stair gate available).
Bathroom with bath and hand held shower.
Additional information: The holiday cottage benefits from central heating and duvets/covers, pillows/covers and blankets are provided. Sheets are available at a small additional charge. Parking by the side of the cottage is available for unloading and loading and public parking is available 50 yards away.
Please note: The photos below show Llwyngwril village and Fairbourne beach which is a 5 minute drive in the car. Please also note that short breaks are offered out of peak season - please enquire with the owner. Heating: oil filled radiators and over night storage heaters, electricity is included in the weekly price.
