Ystumgwern Barn Conversions are on a 1,000 acre working farm lying between mountains and sea on the west coast of the Snowdonia National Park.
All of the properties have been awarded the VisitWales highest grade of five Stars and are superbly equipped and tastefully furnished to ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable holiday.
There are plenty of things to see and do in this lovely area with the following all being available within five miles: Harlech Castle, steam train, craft centre, slate mine, Harlech Royal St. David's golf course and pony trekking. The accommodation is also ideal for those who enjoy fishing, sailing and visiting the sandy " blue flag" beaches of the Cambrian coastline, along with those looking for a walking holiday in the Welsh mountains.
Snowdonia is a contrast of wooded valleys, rugged mountains, rushing streams, peaceful lakes, glorious beaches and boat-dotted harbours. Five miles south of Ystumgwern Hall Farm lies the seaside resort of Barmouth on the spectacular Mawddach Estuary.
You will find the most glorious ten mile expanse of sandy beaches from Harlech to Barmouth. Visit quaint villages such as Llanbedr, the gateway to Shell Island and Llandanwg with its Celtic church in the sand dunes. Along the sandy shores is the historic town of Harlech with the famous Royal St. David's golf course and its impressive castle, along with and an excellent theatre.
Walkers and cyclists will be delighted with the new routes to be found in the nearby area where you can explore the countryside with a wonderful backdrop of the Rhinog mountain range. There are several peaks to be conquered throughout Snowdonia, with varying degrees of difficulty providing something for all levels of fitness and experience. Alternatively take a ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway and enjoy the magnificent peaks in a leisurely fashion.

Ystumgwern Barn Conversions offer a selection of one and two bedroom holiday homes which sleep two to four guests. The accommodation has been created from traditional stone farm buildings and furnished and equipped to the highest standard, reflecting farmhouse style and comfort throughout.
Llofft Allan and Beudy Bach each sleep two guests and are ideal for couples looking for a romantic break or for those seeking peace and tranquility. Beudy Bach has easy ground floor access and Llofft Allan is on the first floor level. Llofft Allan has a double bedroom while Beudy Bach can be a twin or a king size bedroom since the beds zip and link. Both these one-bedroom apartments have en-suite facilities with bath and overhead shower.
Daflod and Sgubor are our two bedroom apartments both sleeping four guests in one double and one twin bedroom - both bedrooms in each have en-suite one with a bath and the other with a shower. Daflod is on the first floor while Sgubor is on the ground floor.
Rhiwal is an upside-down house which also has a twin and a double bedroom but only one bathroom with bath and overhead shower.
Facilities: Kitchens are well equipped with gas cooker, fridges freezer (or freezer compartments), dishwashers and microwaves. Living Rooms have ample comfortable seating and are equipped with colour television, video player and music system. All have gas-fired central heating to warm those cooler evenings. Bedrooms are charmingly furnished and all the beds are made up ready for your arrival. There are continental quilts with extra blankets if required.
Additional information: Towels are supplied (not beach towels). The laundry room and drying room are shared as is the Games room which is a strong favorite with adults and children alike. Ystumgwern Farm is an organic working farm, and if you would like to ask anything about the farm and its animals, the owners would only be too pleased to have a chat. There is plenty of off road parking. Welcome Pack is provided. The village pub is a pleasant mile walk as is the town play area and railway station. One Dog welcome at Beudy Bach, Rhiwal and Sgubor. Cot and highchair provided. There is a barbecue area for guests use along with a play area for children to enjoy.

We just wanted to thank you for our week stay at your lovely cottage – Sugbor. It was sure a First Class little Cottage, and the double bed was the best we’ve slept in over the years, and sure good to have a good power shower to use, also the use of wi-fi in the cottage was excellent, though a bit flaky with the phone., but hey! cannot have everything.
We sure will recommend it to families and friends. Lovely scenery all round.
