Further afield....
Llanberis village lies at the foot of the Llanberis mountain pass, an area which is rich in history and natural beauty. The pass itself hosts some of the most famous rock climbs in history, and also provides great access for hill walking with some of the most impressive mountains in Britain. On one side of the pass, there is the Glyderau mountain range including the scrambling thrills of Mt. Tryfan and on the other, the Snowdon mountain range.

Llandudno, Great Ormes Head, Colwyn Bay and Conwy are also within easy reach and only forty minutes away.
Further south lies a number of other lovely places to visit including the quaint villages of Beddgelert and Betws-y-Coed with their neighbouring forests and rivers. The City of Bangor, and Caernarfon with its impressive castle are the two main urban centres in North Wales and provide good shopping opportunities and also a variety of bars and restaurants.

Reviews and Testimonials for Ripon House
We were absolutely delighted with the cottage and how beautifully it is furnished and equipped, we could ask for nothing. There was nothing that I would add and I would unreservedly recommend it to anyone, I have already given my boss the website address as he is a very keen climber and loves the area. Thank you again for a lovely stay in a home from home cottage.

House SO well equipped for children! Ticked “sufficient” only because more info on house’s facilities on website would have done the house more justice, if I was just searching for a cottage online and looking for a family friendly one (rather than being offered one for free!) Having an actual Graco travelcot (rather than some out-of-date horrid crib thing), a great high chair (rather than yucky restaurant style thing your kid falls out of constantly), a baby gate, a bedside rail thingy, a microwave for warming baby food, a fenced patio where children can play safely, the park across the road, the park nearby at Padarn Country Park, all the videos and DVDs (although we didn’t use any! Too much else to do—even though it rained the last 3 days!), an amazing toy cupboard with crafty bits and lego and all sorts of exciting things, and best of all, the CASTLE!!!

Any other comments…Beryl, you left nothing to chance and were brilliant at providing information prior to our arrival. I’d like to say it was one of the best breaks we’ve had and felt very comfortable in Ripon House. In fact, to say that it has all the comforts of home, is a massive understatement. Go raibh míle maith agat!
