Disgwylfa is the first in a row of stone cottages situated amongst peaceful countryside just above the village of Sarn. This holiday cottage enjoys views across open countryside to Garn Fadryn and the Rivals and is just a five minute walk from the village which has a pub serving good food, Post Office and village shop.
The central location makes this holiday cottage ideal for exploring the lovely beaches on both sides of the peninsula with the famous ‘Whistling Sands’ at Porth Oer and Hell’s Mouth beach both just over three miles away. There are several other beaches locally and Abersoch is just seven miles away and within easy reach.
As you would imagine, there is plenty of fun to be had by water lovers on the Lleyn Peninsula. Hafan Pwllheli - The North West’s Premier Marina is just around the corner and Shearwater which specialises in scenic coastal cruises, runs from the marina.
If you are a golf lover, there are a number of fine courses close to the cottage such as Abersoch Golf Club, Pwllheli Golf Club, Nefyn & District Golf Club, Criccieth Golf Club and Porthmadog Golf Club. It is also an ideal location if you enjoy walking. You can follow in the footsteps of the early pilgrims and enjoy some or all (for those feeling energetic!) of the beautiful 84 miles of Lleyn Coastal Path. The path takes in mountains and coast, cliff top views, rocky coves and sandy beaches, picturesque harbours and rugged wild heath land.
Slightly further afield, you have the delights of Snowdonia and for those who want to relax and rest their legs, the Ffestiniog and the Welsh Highland Railway is well worth a ride!
