Bryn-y-Gwynt is conveniently located in the heart of the village of Betws-y-Coed within the Snowdonia National Park. Its central location makes it perfect for enjoying all of the outdoor pursuits that Snowdonia has to offer, as well as being in the village capital of Snowdonia National Park.
This attractive holiday cottage sleeps up to eleven guests in five separate bedrooms, one having an adjoining toddlers room. The cottage also benefits from en-suite bathrooms, a superb sauna/steam room and has Broadband fitted for those who want to stay in contact via computer whilst away.
Snowdonia is a hauntingly majestic part of Wales, having the second largest National Park in England and Wales. Amongst its many attractions are the Swallow Falls, the Snowdon Mountain Railway, the Ffestiniog Mountain Railway, Snowdon, the Marrin Trail, the Faerie Glenn, Electric Mountain, the National Slate Museum, King Arthur's Labyrinth, numerous forest and lakeside walks, many local castles and the Sygun Copper Mine. There are also many burial chambers and cairns that date back to Stone and Bronze Age.
Bryn-y-Gwynt is rich in heritage and offers a stunning landscape with dense woodland and magnificent mountains. The village has numerous craft and outdoor shops along with other interesting shops and places to eat. Bryn-y-Gwynt backs onto forestry land and is built in traditional Welsh stone and slate. It sleeps parties of up to eleven guests and benefits from having shops and restaurants only a minute or so from the front door.
Accommodation comprises:
Lounge - The bay fronted lounge looks out over fields to the River Llugwy and beyond to the forest, topped by Clogwyn Cyrall, a prominent rocky outcrop. There is a television and this room is comfortably furnished and heated with a gas fire as well as gas central heating.
Dining Room - Again bay fronted this room is fitted with a large kichen table and chairs, and further comfy chairs.
Snug - There is a comfortable snug, adequately furnished with additional heating.
Kitchen - The kitchen (and attached utility room) are fully fitted with fridge/freezer, tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave, oven and a full range of units and worktops.
Sauna/Steam Room - On the first floor landing there is a Sauna/Steam Room, housing a modern "Super Room" comprising a Finnish Sauna and Steam Room. There is also a bath, WC and wash basin.
First floor separate toilet.
Master Bedroom - front-facing master bedroom contains a double bed, set of drawers, two bedside cabinets, mirror, television and has an en-suite shower room and WC.
Second Bedroom - This front-facing bedroom contains a double bed, television, two bedside cabinets, sink and wardrobe.
Third Bedroom - The bedroom faces to the back and has a double bed, wardrobe, television, easy chair and two bedside cabinets. This bedroom has an en-suite shower room and WC.
Fourth Bedroom - This is a rear-facing bedroom with two single beds, wardrobe, television and two bedside cabinets.
Fifth Bedroom (another Master Bedroom) - A further staircase leads to another Master Bedroom with double bed and bedside cabinets. An open, adjoining room contains a single "toddler" bed and a made-up cot. There is an en-suite bathroom and WC.
Drying Room - Beyond the kitchen is a cloaks, boots and bicycle room.
Gardens - There is a small garden to the front of the property and a large terraced garden to the rear, with lawns and flower beds. There is also a washing line.
Car Parking - There is off-street parking for two cars, plus on-street parking immediately outside of the property.
Additional information: There is an ample supply of bedclothes, duvets, towels, linen, pillows, crockery, cutlery, pans etc. Central Heating and Gas Fire Heating and lighting are provided at no extra cost. All modern facilities are included. There is a sauna/steam room on the first floor. The property is double glazed throughout. There are facilities for bicycles and enclosed outside storage for boots, raincoats etc. All bedrooms have tea making facilties. Prices are between £400-£750 depending on the season.
