The Coach House is a traditional barn conversion that provides an ideal retreat to relax and unwind for either a short break or longer holiday. It can accommodate parties of up to ten guests in five bedrooms and is located within the owners estate, amongst its own courtyard and gardens. The Coach House is also available on a bed and breakfast basis.
Located within the Tanet Valley on the Shropshire/Powys border, The Coach House is nearby to many of the areas attractions including: Powis Castle; Llanraeadr Waterfall; Lake Vyrnwy and Bala. Snowdonia National Park is also less than an hours drive with its majestic mountains, where you can enjoy a wide selection of outdoor activities including white water rafting and canoeing.
Sailing and Tennis can be enjoyed in the Berwyn mountains, along with the more leisurely pursuits such as fishing and golf. The keen walker can enjoy walking directly out from The Coach House (maps provided) and there are some good testing cycle rides, along with safe storage within the Coach House for cycles. This area is also a renowned mountain biking area with many challenging routes for those ready for the challenge!
For those looking for a more cultural experience, there are many National Trust properties nearby including Chirk, Powis Castle, Erddig and the historical sites of Ellesmere and Whittington Castle.
There are also many local activities and attractions that should keep the children amused including: Blue Planet Aquarium; Coed-y-dinas; Park Hall Farm; Crazy Knights; cinema and local swimming baths in Wrexham and Welshpool which provide great fun with slides and wave machines.
The nearby town of Oswestry offers eateries and speciality shops jostling with the market stalls. There are also many good highly recommended restaurants and pubs nearby, along with local interests to keep the youngsters amused.
Bring your horse along on holiday! The owners have paddocks and stabling and a menage for training with jumps. Also there are local indoor equestrian centres nearby and cross country rides. For a more relaxing hack, try the Dyfnant forest which has fabulous routes to explore amongst truly beautiful surroundings. The fees will be: Accommodation the same and horse per night £10-00 with stabling, grazing and hay.

Accommodation comprises:
Ground floor
- Large beamed living room with wood burning stove, satellite television with Sky sports and Movies available, DVD Player, CD player and radio.
- Well equipped kitchen/dining room with quarry tiled floor, ample crockery and utensils, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is also an automatic washing machine and tumble dryer.
- Twin-bedded room with en-suite wet room and WC - this bedroom has easy disabled and wheel chair access making the entire ground floor completely step and ramp free.
First floor
- Two double bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom comprising WC and bath with an over-bath shower.
- Two twin-bedded rooms and a shower room with WC.
Outside: There is an enclosed garden with patio furniture and barbecue, along with ample parking for cars. There is also garage space and outbuildings for storage of cycles, luggage and walking equipment. The Coach House provides a trampoline with safety net and also a paddling pool which can be set up on request.
Additional information: Non-smokers only. Shops are four miles away and the nearest pub and restaurant is one mile away. Dogs welcome. Duvets, along with all linen and towels are provided for guests. A cot/high chair is also provided. The property has full central heating plus a wood burning stove (initial wood for the stove is provided and thereafter at cost).
Short breaks offered: Three to four night breaks offered from £420 during low season; £630 mid season and £840 high season. Two nights also offered from £300.
