Bequia Cottage is situated on a small arable farm within one of the most rural parts of England - the south Shropshire Hills. The scenery is simply breathtaking with rolling hills, green fields, cattle, woods and castles all forming part of this spectacular landscape.
The holiday cottage has been lovingly furnished by its owners (one of which is an interior designer), to preserve the original character of the cottage whilst providing everything you will need for a relaxing and memorable holiday.
Bequia Cottage is perfect for adult groups of families and friends or couples who are looking for a holiday or relaxing place for a short break where you can escape the pressures of everyday life.
situated about eight miles from the nearest town of Much Wenlock, the birthplace of the modern Olympic Games and about twelve miles from the county town of Shrewsbury with its famous mediaeval buildings including Shrewsbury Abbey. For those who enjoy fine food, the medieval market town of Ludlow is twenty miles away with its beautiful castle, fine selection of restaurants and annual arts festival.
Wenlock Edge and The Long Mynd which were made famous by A E Housman in A Shropshire Lad are close by as are other notable sights such as the museums of Ironbridge, Stokesay Castle, Weston Park and Buildwas Abbey to name a few. There is also a pub that is approximately a half hour walk from the cottage.
Whether you are looking to explore Shropshire or simply want to relax in front of a fire after enjoying some wonderful walks through beautiful countryside, Bequia Cottage provides a perfect retreat.

Broome Farm is a 17th Century farm and home to two charming self catering holiday cottages which are converted from 17th Century barns around an old yard.
Bequia Cottage consists of an entrance hall, large kitchen which is fully equipped, separate drawing room with log burning stove and a large dining hall with high ceiling, exposed trusses, stone walls, wrought iron lights, oak refectory table and chairs for a banquet!
Upstairs there is a double bedroom and two guestrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower. The upstairs rooms are built into the roof and incorporate high ceilings with lots of exposed beams, etc.
The entire building was completely rebuilt in 2000 to the highest standards reflected in the English Tourist Council 5 Star Award. The bathrooms although small are luxurious with slate basin surrounds and highest quality fittings. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave, etc, etc. The drawing room has hi-fi stereo as well as satellite television and video.
Additional information: Electricity and heating are included, as are all towels, linen, etc. There is also a telephone. There is plenty of parking space, pets are welcome and smoking is permitted.
