The New Farmhouse is a lovely Scandanavian log cabin which is set within its own grounds on a working farm.  It is well located for visiting the popular cities on Edinburgh and Glasgow yet its tranquil rural position within lovely countryside makes it perfect for those who enjoy outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing and golf.

The busy attractive market town of Biggar is under two miles away and offers a good selection of interesting shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants.  Scotland is well known for its good selection of golf courses and there are pay as you go courses to be found locally.  You are also able to enjoy some of the larger courses within a short distance.

There are a wealth of attractions and places to visit within the Scottish Borders.  There are historic houses to visit such as Traquair House, Edinburgh Castle and Drumlanrig Castle.  One of Scotland's top visitor's attractions, The New Lanark World Heritage Site, is just twenty five minutes drive away and provides a great day out.  Alternatively, for nature lovers, why not visit the Botanic Gardens at Dawyck and Edinburgh or the Osprey watch at Glentress and Kailzie.
