Set in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains, in an outstanding tranquil, rural location, The Barn at Cefn Coch Farm provides an ideal holiday base for exploring this picturesque part of West Wales. Formally an unused stone barn, this holiday barn has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and now offers luxurious holiday accommodation set amongst spectacular countryside - the perfect place to relax in a beautiful setting and ideal for a romantic break, a family holiday or two couples wanting to holiday together. Larger parties of up to 10 guests can be accommodated if the adjoining holiday cottage is also rented.
The Barn can be found approximately a mile above the hamlet of Glaspwll, near Machynlleth, above the forgotten Llyfnant Valley. It is off the beaten trail and located on a farm track which leads to nowhere so the only passing traffic you will see is the occasional tractor or horse on the bridlepath!
There is plenty to see and do in this lovely area. The market town of Machynlleth (the Ancient Capital of Wales) is just a short distance away, and the beaches at Aberdovey, Ynyslas and Borth are too within easy reach. Also nearby are the RSPB reserve at Ynys Hir, Steam Railways (Corris, Tallylyn, Rheidol Valley etc), the Centre for Alternative Technology, Nature Reserves, Mountain Biking trails, King Arthur's Labyrinth and so much more!
The Barn is available for full weeks throughout the year and is ideal for a winter break having oil-fired central heating and a cosy wood-burner to curl up in front of on those more chilly nights. Short breaks are also available in the quieter months.
Please note: Due to the numerous streams which can flow very fast, the cottage is not suitable for children under eight years of age. Unfortunately pets can not be accepted and guests are asked to smoke outside the property.
