Dan-yr-allt Cottage is a delightful holiday cottage that is located in a tranquil position within a thirty acre estate, affording stunning views. It is adjacent to the owner’s house, and overlooks the valley of the river Irfon with the mountain ranges beyond.
A holiday here would suit anyone looking to escape to a peaceful tranquil retreat within the heart of the beautiful mid Wales countryside. This location is an excellent base for touring and enjoying mid Wales, along with enjoying outdoor activities. Fishing can be arranged nearby and is available on the lake. For those who enjoy golf, the 18 hole parkland course at Builth Wells Golf Club is only a short drive away and there are also partnership courses at Cradoc and Llandrindod Wells near Brecon.
Builth Wells is the nearest town, which is a three mile drive from the cottage. This attractive market town is next to the river Wye and offers good local shopping facilities, a choice of places to eat, the Wyeside arts centre/cinema and it is the location of the Royal Welsh showground which has a good selection of events on throughout the year.
The scenic Heart of Wales railway line runs between Swansea and Shrewsbury and has stations approximately three miles from the cottage at Garth and Cilmery. For birdwatchers, there are many birds to see including the red kite, nut hatches, buzzards, owls, woodpeckers, pheasants and a variety of wildfowl on the lake.

Outside: There is a private grassed seating area at the rear of the cottage with lovely views. Parking for up to two cars. Lake in the grounds of the property and access to a footpath along the bank of the river Irfon. Fishing can be arranged very close by. All bed linen and towels are provided. Fuel and electricity are included within the price. Full central heating.
Additional information: Please note that the cottage is not suitable for unsupervised young children as the cottage garden is unfenced with access to a steep shrubby slope. In the interests of their safety, it is very important that children are accompanied by an adult when outside the cottage. Sorry no pets. Please note that the property is strictly non smoking.
