Set within the beautiful Tanat valley, between the pretty villages of Penybontfawr and Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant is this converted traditional stone barn which is available for self catering accommodation.
The cottage is close to the attractive market town of Oswestry and surrounded by spectacular scenery and beautiful little villages providing a good range of local pubs where you can enjoy a meal.
This scenic location is ideal for a rural break and perfect for those who enjoy walking, horse riding, fishing, cycling, bird-watching or simply relaxing. Lakes Bala and Vyrnwy are both a short distance away for water-sports, and the area is a haven for wildlife (as seen on BBC Springwatch).
There are plenty of attractions and places to visit within easy driving distance including Llangollen with scenic steam railway, horse-drawn canal boat trips and international music Eisteddfod, to name just a few; Welshpool, home of medieval Powis castle; historic Shrewsbury; Lake Vyrnwy, a Victorian stone-built dam; Bala, a small interesting market town located at the head of Llyn Tegid, its famous lake where you can enjoy water sports, outdoor activities and the breathtakingly beautiful countryside of the Snowdonia National Park and Rhaeadr waterfall, an enchanting waterfall set in the Berwyn Mountains.
The area is ideal for those who want a relaxing holiday amongst the beautiful peaceful countryside or for those who enjoy outdoor activities or want to explore the area.

The centrally heated holiday cottage is attached to the owner’s property and affords stunning views over the valley. Its sleeps four guests and comprises:
Open living/dining/ kitchen area with fridge, Gas cooker, microwave, 26” flat screen television and DVD player.
Double bedroom.
Shower room with toilet and sink.
Upper mezzanine room with two single beds.
Outside: To the rear, the outside decked sitting area with patio set and barbecue is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views. There is also a private garden area for children to enjoy the selection of outdoor games.
Additional information: In the main house there is a free DVD and book library for guests to enjoy and a clothes washing and drying service is available for a small charge. Bed linen, towels and tea towels (changed weekly if staying for more than one week) are provided. Wooden framed cot with sheet available on request. Electricity and Gas for cooking is included within price - An extra charge of £15 per week will be made for central heating in the winter (October-April). One dog is welcome at a charge of £3 per day extra.
