Trallwm Forest Cottages are located within the Trallwm Estate in the heart of Mid Wales and offer a choice of eight individual holiday cottages which are either detached or semi detached offering guests a good degree of privacy. The cottages can accommodate parties of one to nine guests individually or larger groups if more than one property is booked at the same time.
Situated in a picturesque setting the cottages are located in a beautiful wooded valley between the villages of Beulah and Abergwesyn. For over twenty five years these traditional Welsh stone and slate buildings have been providing a comfortable and warm retreat for visitors who want to explore this beautiful part of Mid Wales or enjoy the outdoor activities that are available locally.
Within Coed Trallwm there are a great number of tracks which are ideal for jogging, walking or mountain biking, as well as streams where you can fish or enjoy playing or paddling. Beyond the forest edge lies 20,000 acres of open moorland stretching across the Drygan to the Elan Valley and Devil's Bridge, providing a haven for wildlife and birds including red kites, buzzards, goldcrests, herons and woodpeckers - all can be seen in and around the forest.
Onsite there is reflexology and a beauty salon where you can book yourself a treatment and pamper yourself in a tranquil setting. Coed Trallwm Mountain Biking Centre has a welcoming café serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, light lunches and tea and there is also a bike wash and showers available.
For those who want to explore Mid Wales, there are plenty of places to visit including: Elan Valley and Towy Valley reservoirs; Llanwrtyd Wells - the smallest town in Britain (7 miles); the old market town of Builth Wells (13 miles); The Brecon Beacons (23 miles) and the Dinas RSPB Bird Reserve (12 miles) with its two mile nature trail.

Trallwm Forest Cottages offers the choice of eight self-catering holiday cottages as follows: Magpie sleeps up to two (£274 to £355 per week); Siskin sleeps up to two (£280 to £364 per week); Kestrel sleeps up to three (£280 to £364 per week); Tawny Owl sleeps up to four (£310 to £397 per week); Nant Garreg sleeps up to four (£340 to £433 per week); Red Kite sleeps up to four (£280 to £364 per week); Trallwm Farmhouse sleeps up to seven (£375 to £485 per week) and Trawsgyrch sleeps up to nine (£650 to £850 per week). Trawsgyrch is featured in this advert and is a traditional 17th century Welsh stone farmhouse. Tastefully furnished with natural charm and character, this delightful holiday home is set on a working sheep farm beside a mountain stream and offers the following accommodation and facilities:
Ground floor with kitchen/diner including fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, gas cooker etc. The lounge has an inglenook fireplace with lovely wood burner and a digital television, DVD and video player. There is also a toilet with wash hand-basin.
First floor with a bathroom including bath, toilet, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. There are four bedrooms - a double with en-suite shower and cot, a single bedroom, a twin bedroom and a further double bedroom.
Second floor with a twin bedroom and the lounge.
Additional information: One well-behaved dog is allowed by arrangement only, for an additional charge of £20 per week in certain cottages - please speak to the owner prior to booking. The house is heated by electric night storage heaters.
Changeover days: Tawny Owl, Trallwm Farmhouse and Trawsgyrch are let Friday to Friday and the others are Saturday.
