Braes Lodge at Tomphubil is a stylish log holiday home that sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms. Ideal for couples looking for a romantic break or friends wanting to holiday together, it is located in the very heart of Highlands Perthshire, within Scotland.
Built in 2010, this light and airy holiday home is modern and provides 'boutique' style holiday accommodation of a very high standard that ensures a relaxing holiday or short break.
Sitting amongst the trees in a secluded, peaceful position, Braes Lodge affords stunning views and provides easy access to most of Scotland and its many attractions whilst being private enough to escape the pressures of everyday life.
At any time of the year, this is the perfect retreat - what could be better than relaxing in the undercover private hot tub on the balcony, with a glass of wine at the end of the day, whilst watching the sun go down over Loch Kinardochy or snuggling up in front of a roaring log fire.
Braes Lodge is close to Perthshire’s highest mountain; Scotland’s longest river; the Highlands’ longest, loneliest and loveliest glen and Europe’s oldest tree. Located in the very heart of Highland Perthshire, it sits at the geographic centre of Scotland and is a perfect touring base being twenty seven kilometres west of Pitlochry and fourteen kilometres north of Aberfeldy in the foothills of Schiehallion (the Fairy Hill). There are plenty of local attractions including Blair Castle, Highland Adventure Safaris, House of Bruar, Castle Menzies, four distilleries and the Scottish Crannog Centre.
Aberfeldy, well known as the 'water sports capital of Scotland' is ideal for those who enjoy the great outdoors. There are plenty of moderate and challenging trails for walkers and cyclists taking you through forests, up mountains and along rivers. Trout and salmon fishing is available with permits being easy to purchase locally. Other activities to enjoy include: off roading, archery, quad biking, paintballing and shooting. The area also has much to offer golfers with local courses at Aberfeldy, Kenmore, Strathtay, Taymouth Castle and Pitlochry, along with St, Andrews, Gleneagles and Carnoustie which are within driving distance.

Braes Lodge has solar heated hot water, a green living roof and bamboo flooring throughout. The living accommodation is open plan with high ceilings and two sets of folding doors, opening out onto the balcony which overlooks Schiehallion to the West and Loch Kinardochy to the North.
Accommodation comprises:
Main room which is very light and airy. Warm furnishings and a log burning stove make this room cosy on chilly nights and days. There is also a FreeSat television, DVD player and iPod dock for guests enjoyment.
Fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, Magimix and sharp knives!
Separate boot room (with its own entrance) where you will find the washing machine and tumble dryer and storage space for outdoor clothing.
Main bedroom with en-suite shower room and king-size bed.
Second bedroom with two single beds. Whilst this room is not en-suite, it benefits from having its own shower room immediately adjacent.
Outside: The balcony has the hot tub, along with table and chairs and gas-fired barbecue - all under cover and available to enjoy whatever the weather.
Additional information: All utilities, linen, logs and barbecue gas are included. To maintain the quality of the lodge, unfortunately both children and pets cannot be accommodated. Picnic hampers, jackets and wellies are provided for guests use. Internet access and Wi-Fi connection available (the owners can even provide a computer!). A welcome hamper is supplied upon arrival with complimentary bottle of champagne, luxury soap and essential supplies. Asda and Tesco both deliver to Tomphubil and the owners are happy to receive deliveries and put them away ready for your arrival so you can arrive and instantly start unwinding! For stays of a week or longer, a midweek cleaning/fresh linen is provided.
Prices are charged at: £160 per night for two guests and £200 for four. Short breaks are offered all year round (minimum three nights) offering greater flexibility.

What a hot tub - what a view!
