The Stables is located in an enviable position on the Pembrokeshire coastline and set within seventy acres of it’s own farmland and just a short walk across the fields (literally just minutes!) to its own private beach. This converted Pembrokeshire long barn accommodates up to six guests and faces the sea offering panoramic views from Fishguard Bay to Dinas Head, along with wonderful views up over the Preseli hills. Here you can enjoy amazing summer evening sunsets over the sea from the living room and outdoor patios - the perfect place to relax after a day on the beach with a glass of wine! The Stables is safe and secluded, away from traffic and offers the perfect setting for families, walkers or those who simply want to escape the pressures of everyday life. The beach is dramatic at any time of the year. In the summer it is sheltered from the prevailing winds and is ideal for swimming, exploring the rock pools, bathing and simply relaxing. In the winter it can be equally dramatic as the big Atlantic rollers make there way into the bay - what could be nicer than an invigorating walk along the beach and then returning back to the cottage to relax in front of the log burner. There are also plenty of other great beaches, bays and coves to explore locally with several within walking distance from The Stables. Aberbach is a lovely twenty minute walk down the coastal path southwards and Pwllgwaelod is just fifteen minutes walk north. Cwm-Yr- Egylws is just a short walk down the back lane and is a very sheltered pretty bay which is great for swimming and boating. Newport sands is a lovely long sandy beach and just a four mile drive north and Whitesands and Newgale beaches are thirty minutes south. Walkers too will love staying at The Stables with the famous Pembrokeshire coastal path just a few minutes walk across the fields and the Dinas Island walk literally on your doorstep. There are wonderful walks both south towards Aberbach and Fishguard and north towards Newport Bay. The Preseli hills are also right behind the Stables where you can walk up to Garn Fawr and Carningli from the farm. The Stables is the only holiday cottage at the farm and visitors are encouraged to roam around the farm at their free will. It benefits from having it's own entrance and is positioned away from the other farm buildings, providing guests with a good degree of privacy. The cottage is within a fifteen minutes walk to the village of Dinas for supplies, pub and a fish and chip shop. It's is also just a ten minute walk down the coastal path to The Old Sailors Inn at Pwllgwaelod Beach. |
