Daisy Cottage is a delightful Grade II listed holiday cottage set in the beautiful Peak District Village of Carsington. It provides character holiday accommodation which is ideal for couples wanting a peaceful getaway or who want to explore the area, and is set in a pretty Peak District village location.
Carsington provides a great place to base yourself and explore the Peak District. There are many attractions on the doorstep with Carsington Water being just a few minutes away, to Chatsworth, the Town of Bakewell, Alton Towers, Hardwick Hall and Haddon Hall being a little further.
The village location makes Daisy Cottage perfect for strolling down the lane to the pub of a lunchtime or evening where you can enjoy good local ale and food. Afterwards, why not stretch your legs and take a short walk to Carsington Water.
There are plenty of fabulous walks from the door and for the more energetic you can enjoy a walk or cycle around Carsington Water (eight miles) in the fabulous wildlife haven around the lake.
There are many things to do and see in this lovely area including: canoeing, fishing, birdwatching, walking, cycling, golf, horse riding, rock climbing, sailing and windsurfing, to name just a few.

Daisy Cottage can accommodate two to four guests and provides the following accommodation and facilities:
One bedroom with king size bed.
One twin bedroom with two single beds and a shower room.
Family bathroom with bath and WC.
Lounge/Diner with two sofas (one of which is a good quality sofa bed providing sleeping facilities for two extra guests) and an easy chair. There is also a dining table and four chairs and a television with Sky.
Kitchen with twin cooker, combination microwave, fridge and dishwasher.
Additional information: There is off road parking. All prices are fully inclusive of heating, electricity, bed linen and tea-towels. Bath towels can be provided at a small additional charge. Short breaks are available and a flexible changeover day may be offered. Wireless Broadband is provided for guests use. There is the use of a washing machine and tumble dryer.

The location is idyllic in the heart of the Peak District and Carsington is a picturesque sleepy little village. The pub being literally 1 minute walk away was great and it also had a large beer garden. There is loads to do in the local area, we went quad biking with Wildpark Leisure which I would 100% recommend as they were brilliant. Also had pub lunch in nearby Brassington then opted for the 30min walk over the hill to get back to Carsington.
Doug who owns the property was so accommodating and helpful with our booking. Although they live on site we didn't feel for a second that we were being kept an eye on and were made to feel very welcome.
One thing to note though is that phone reception is really limited so be prepared for that! There was a spot a the top of the garden where we managed to get signal but that was about it.
