Butterfield Cottage sleeps six guests and is a peaceful quaint holiday cottage sitting on the outskirts of Tideswell. A good choice for families, Butterfield Cottage provides a superb self-catering base for exploring the many attractions of the Peak District. The cottage is exceptionally well placed within the National Park and nestles in a quiet position on the outskirts of the pretty village Tideswell within only a five minute walk from amenities including pubs, tearooms and shops.
Butterfield Cottage has lovely views over the Dales and offers light and airy self-catering accommodation that affords lots of character and charm. Presented in a typical 'country cottage' fashion with nice fabrics, quality furnishings and antiques, accommodation is exceptionally comfy, with a welcoming relaxed atmosphere, along with modern conveniences to cater for all your needs.
Tideswell's a vibrant attractive village offering an excellent choice of village shops to browse, pubs for a drink or meal and tearooms, all offering tasty local produce to sample. Often referred to as 'The Cathedral of the Peak', the village church (St Johns), is popular with visitors as is the historic famous Ebbing and Flowing Well.
Conveniently placed for exploring the many attractions of the Peak District National Park, Butterfield Cottage is within easy driving distance of Buxton, Bakewell and the Speedwell Cavern at Castleton, along with Magnificent Chatsworth House and Alton Towers (forty five minute drive) for a fun family day out.
