Greengate Cottage has been refurbished over recent years by its current owners and offers self catering holiday accommodation of a very high standard.   It is also perfectly located in a prime position in one of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park's prettiest villages, Hutton-le-Hole.

This delightful holiday cottage, combines original character with luxurious furnishings to provide a very special holiday retreat with fabulous views over the village.  Greengate Cottage is close to craft galleries, riverside picnic areas, tea shops, a folk museum, a local shop and a dining pub, all within a short walk.

There are numerous attractions and interesting places to visit in this beautiful area and local attractions include: the Ryedale Folk Museum (in the village), Flamingo Land, Pickering steam railway, Scarborough, Whitby, Helmsley and of course the beautiful moors which provide unlimited walking opportunities.

The scenery of the North York Moors is truly breathtaking with its rugged landscape enticing visitors to return year after year to visit its lush green valleys, pretty villages and heather covered Moors.  Goathland (featured in the television series Heartbeat) is of particular interest to visitors and walkers and when you visit this beautiful area you will understand why it was filmed here.

Just like the Moors, the North Yorkshire coastline is dramatic with towering cliffs and sandy bays. The coastal town of Scarborough is always popular with visitors and a little further north is the unspoilt village of Robin Hood’s Bay, with its winding cobbled streets; and the popular old town of Whitby with its Abbey made famous by Draculas novel.
